Hopefully the 9ers can do better than to sign a 33 year old WR with a page long injury history. Much rather see them make some kind of second tier trade than sign Evans.

I just want a center dammit.

If I can get Breece hall and likely as a bonus ill take it. But a center and a mac jones trade for LG ammo would open up the draft in the best way possible

I'm right there with you brother!!!! Give me Connor McGovern or Sean Rhyan, I think he struggled this past season though.
I would be stoked if we could get at least 2 free agents on both sides of the ball and then fill in the rest of the the holes through the draft.

Maybe Tyler Linderbaum and Romeo Daubs on offense and then on defense get John Franklin-Myers and Bradley Chubb on Defense.

If your lucky maybe you can sneak in CJ Gardner Johnson but then after that the rest of your money would have to be allocated towards the draft and towards having some cap space for next year.

I figured this would happen. Expect to be underwhelmed. That doesn't mean the signings can't be impactful once the season starts, but the way things appear, nobody should be expecting a big signing.

Would Romeo Doubs classify as a big signing? 1-year deal for Joey Bosa?

Yes, they would in comparison to this POS free agency. They would be fairly big signings.

Are we going to start a new 2026 FA Thread?

Edit the thread title and get that "2025" outta here

11 straight 1000 yard seasons up to last year. Not worried about his injuries for the right price.
Tyquan Thornton would be a guy i'd be interested in. Would be a solid #3 guy who can take the top off the defense.

Agreed. The draft is not going to solve our WR issues. We've got to get one of Evans or Doubs IMO.

Why aren't you worried about his injury history? When his snaps and production has diminished over the years? I could see if he was still in his 20's.
I can't see them spending very much for Evans which is probably why he won't sign with the 49ers

His only major injury came last year. You don't put up 1k receiving for 11 straight years with a injury history.

Plus i said in my original post he wouldn't be the only WR we sign/draft. Ideally we have four #2,#3 type WRs and rotate them in and out.

Mike Evans has had a series of hamstring injuries, a broken clavicle and a concussion. I wouldn't sign him for no more than $12-$14 mil a season, around what Cooper Kupp is getting paid.

ESPN's Dan Graziano said NFL teams are "monitoring" the trade market for Jaguars WR Brian Thomas, Jr.

Thomas was drafted by a previous Jaguars regime and his play fell off dramatically — completed with major effort issues — in 2025. "There has been no indication that trading Thomas is something the Jaguars are planning, but there are teams monitoring the situation in case the hypertalented LSU product has fallen far enough down the Jacksonville depth chart that the front office would consider a move," Graziano said. ESPN's Ben Solak named the Patriots, Bills, Steelers, and Raiders as potential Thomas suitors this offseason. As a rookie in 2024, Thomas went for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns as an explosive threat, mostly with Mac Jones under center for the Jags. Thomas has shown vanishingly little chemistry with Trevor Lawrence, however.

This is the trade I hope the 9ers make.
Issac seumalo would be a good fit at LG. Could he be leaning towards coming to the bay area due to his sister working for the 49ers and family being from Oregon
