Delanie Walker

I think walker might still have a little left in the tank kinda like Jordan Reed wouldn't be too excited if we brought him in but I think it's a good idea to at least give him a look

So he's not gonna be our starting kick returner?

we do not need the all pro walker.. just someone like reed last year. more than respectable that can do a nice job when called upon.. we have a need for back up tight end who can actually produce
Easy pass.

No more injured starters or backers please. For the love of s**t

He's not injured.

I know that but if you know Walker he's always and I mean always injured every year. So, I would not want another player signed that's going to miss at least a few games this year. If he comes in the for minimum or close to it I'm game

Yeah, I'm not giving him any real GTD cash...if he wants to play for the vet min sure. Dude is 37 is constantly injured (like you said) and will take snaps away from some young TEs.

I'm meh about signing him, but I'm assuming we do.

At least he's a better receiving TE than anyone except Kittle. The other TEs have definitely had time to develop and grow especially since Kittle has been out for quite a few games the last 2 years. Wasn't he a pretty good blocker in the run game too?
Hes old, there's nobody out there that can catch a few passes?
Easy yes.

He's 37 and been off an on injured plenty the past couple yrs. He's got 25 catches in 3 yrs....people get all nostalgic over former 49ers ( I do as well). He was a solid player like 4/5 years ago. People do realize he was 14 years deep into his career the last time he caught a football, which was back in 2019.

I'd rather use that roster spot on someone else or let the younger guys get more snaps. We will see.

I think the niners signing Pruitt takes Walker out of the running

Could be a situation where if someone gets hurt they call him up later in the off season. Pruitt isn't a lock to make the team imo.
We should have got rid of Davis instead of him. Weird how we made the wrong call on that one

Meh he got better in Tennesee because they had better offensive coaching than the 9ers did. Don't think he becomes the same player if he stays.

Yep our coaching staff was in the s**tter when Walker left. Let's not forget Vernon tied for the league in touchdown receptions one year. He wasn't a terrible player.
So I take it the visit didn't go well when we have brought in a few TEs over Walker.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Walker isn't known for his blocking, probably a big factor.
