Vic Beasley

8 sacks this year. Knows this scheme. 27 years old. More pass rush = yes please! (Yet might cost too much $ with the key guys they need to extend.)

He's atrocious against the run so don't even mention him in the same breath with AA.
Still better than Soft Solomon.
Beasley is not really a pass rusher. He's more of the old school 3-4 LB edge that needs to be schemed up. He'd be perfect in a scheme like New England where they can use him to threaten as an edge rusher or drop into coverage, feature him on twists and stunts, etc.

Beasley isn't like Bosa where you can leave him on an island with the tackle and he'll beat him. And that's why he'll be a free agent.

He plays in the same D we run as a pass rusher.

That's incorrect. The 49ers do not play 4-3 under as their base defense.

Shannahan joined Quinn's staff specifically to learn the Seattle D they ran. The year Kyle led the Offense to the Superbowl Beasley led the league in sacks. I'm pretty sure he'll fit.

Again, the 49ers do not play a 4-3 under base defense. They did in the past but switched to a 4-3 over wide 9.

Armstead is also a three down player which is ten times more valuable.

9ers should have a bigger interest in Ryan Kerrigan after he's released.

Oooh, that's happening? I'd 100% be interested.

Well they aren't passing on Chase Young just to keep Kerrigan at 11.6 mil. Especially with Rivera in fold now. He will want a dominant front.

I was just talking to my Redskin buddy about this the other day.
some team will give kerrigan way more than we can afford unless he takes a cheap deal to be on a winning team with a great d
