Josh Gordon

Why? This guy is never stable. Always something comes up

With all the free time he's about to have rehabbing his injury. I'd be surprised if he passes all his drug tests. Addicts need to keep themselves occupied to help stay clean.

He's due to be released soon per reports

Yea but if he's released after the 29th, he hits waivers. If he hits waivers, he isn't making it to us.

Yes, but why would the Patriots trade him to a team they may see in the Super Bowl?

So they can get something rather than nothing.

I never really understood the thought process of worrying about who teams may potentially meet in the Superbowl. We have 9 weeks left of the regular season, then playoffs. But who know, maybe some teams consider those factors.

Yeah I don't think most teams really care about that, teams also trade within their own division quite a bit too.

The reason why they will not trade him to the niners is in your convo chain. They can get a 6th rd pick for a really good player from a dominant team lacking that exact type player. Making that team far better for when you likely play them in the super bowl.

Or send him on his way to the worst team that wants him. And likely not have to be concerned with him.
He will not make it to the elite teams. He will get claimed by one of the .500 teams.
The concern for us begins at the cowboys, rams, eagles, and bears.
For the patriots it starts at the colts and texans.

And i am not sure he would make it past the raiders, jags, or titans.

Il

They are set to earn a ton of comp picks in this upcoming draft. A late round pick means dick to them if it means strengthening an already undefeated team.

If you're willing to give up a 1st for Gordon then I'm sure they'd be willing to talk.
He can't be traded since he went on IR. And HELL NO to Gordon, too much of a headache just like Antonio Brown. Don't get why people still want these guys.
However, Mike Garafolo of NFL.com tweeted out that Gordon believes he is close to returning to play. Garafolo opines that "he's likely done with the #Patriots but could be available for teams as a free agent soon."

I wouldn't complain if Lynch found a way to bring him in because he can contribute, but he's not the same dominant player he once was.

Gordon had Brady throwing it to him and McDaniel dialing up plays, yet he still struggled at times. Maybe it's the injuries or all the years of abuse that he's put his body through off the field, not sure, but people are fooling themselves if they think he's still a legit #1.

Patriots had both of them and guess what....they're still looking for receivers. Lol
