Building a winnning culture will be harder then signing a bunch of guys.

Why are the 9ers an option on the poll? Oh yeah, homers, I forgot.

Or maybe because this is a 49ers forum
The ravens, do not belong on the list. Imho.

But the browns win the offseason so far. They added talent where they needed it.

The packers deserve a nod too.

The raiders, eh. They added flash on offense, but their OL still is a question. Their D is bad.
The Browns are going to go into this season with the best roster they've had since Bernie freaking Kosar was their starting QB. Think about that for a second.

That team is going to run away with their division.

I'm excited for CLE fans. They deserve some Ws.

I had a co worker (ex co worker now) was a life long Cleveland fan but couldn't take no more. He jumped ship to.......The Steelers last year.

Now they lose their stud WR and RB while Cleveland building a paper champ

If you factor the draft I think we may end up with the best offseason.

Why are you allowed near a keyboard?

When you get a top pass rusher for very little it's not going to be a bad off season.

when you decide jimmy ward is your best bet at safety. then you need a lobotomy

I remember back when I enjoyed your posts. That was nice.

The smartest coach we've had in decades and all the players on the roster are pumped that Ward is back. I get that he's been injured a lot, but he's also been screwed by the team bouncing him around between three different positions. Ward can ball. When healthy, he's an ideal single-high safety. I'm as concerned about everyone else about his health, but I'd guess that the idea is that he can solidify the back end until the DL get synced up in their rush plan, then the DBs won't have too much to do. The 2011 DB's weren't clearly better than what we have now, they just looked like it because the Smith brothers and Brooks were out there claiming souls. All those guys were garbage when they left.
I actually love our free agency moves! I wanted Tyrell Williams but we can draft a WR. Ford is a beast 13 sacks, lead the league in forced fumbles, QB pressures, and turnovers caused! what more can I say? Everybody is trashing Kwon Alexander but if dude is healthy from the knee injury we acquired another beast in the middle! His contract is big on paper but very team friendly with limited risks long term. Dude can flat out fly for a lb and everyone makes a big deal about his missed tackles but if you actually watched him play football you would know that those stats are little bit misleading. Because of his speed he was able to make plays on a lot of plays that other lbs wold just be chasing behind. He would run a player down on a play that he shouldn't have even been able to get in on and throw his body at them and he wouldn't make most of the tackles but would force the rb or wr to change direction enough for someone else to make a play on them. Look at the Bucs defensive numbers against the run with him and without him last season! If that knee is ok we have solidified our inside lb tandem for years to come with Warner and Kwon! After we draft Allen/Bosa (I's prefer Allen) our defense should produce enough pressure to help the secondary tremendously. Lets be honest nobody in the league can cover wrs for 5-6 seconds like our opposing QBs had last year.
RE Allen/Bosa
LE Ford
DT Buckner, Thomas, Armstead
LB Warner, Smith, and Alexander

Allen,Ford, Buckner, and Kwon about to play meet up at the QB all season long!
Please let the injury bug miss us this year we suffered enough last year! As a season ticket holder last year was one of the roughest seasons I've ever endured considering the hope I had going in!
Go niners baby!

Nah, because the 49ers added three explosive playmakers that are a perfect fit for this team.

Eh, PFF says he's slightly below-average at best. Our coaching staff might know that if York wasn't too cheap to pay for the premium PFF subscription.

In seriousness, I disagree with the assessment that our 2011 dbs weren't better than what we currently have. They weren't spectacular, but they were mostly solid. You don't need spectacular DBs if you have a pass rush, but they can't be incompetent and they have to be able to work as a unit to avoid blown coverages. Improving our pass rush will help, but if coverages are still being blown, the defense will still suck. See the Chiefs last year for an example of that. They had 3 of the best pass rushers in the league last year, but couldn't stop anybody.

The only good reason to bring Ward back is his versatility, but he's still just a backup quality player.

It still amazes me that going into his SIXTH year as a Niner, fans are still spelling his name wrong.
