His chances to make the team are completely dependent on his showing in the first few weeks of camp. If he's only "a guy" with Jennings, White, Cracraft, etc. then I doubt he makes the team. At this point, Sanu appears to be the favorite for the WR3 position, but Hurd could make that jump. I don't see any other WR on this team making that jump.

This seems like a pretty fair summary, and once again i am hopeful about Hurd, as he was special in college. But the injuries , tho…honestly i am burned out on them, and 2 full yrs of IR…it just makes me gunshy. Also Sanu's workout vid looked really good…plus he actually played last yr.

Concur x2. If Hurd can stay healthy, can't wait to see how Shanahan uses him. I know it was just the preseason, but damn he looked good in that Cowboys game catching two TDs. Didn't he have his initial injury on that first TD where he lowered his head and crashed heads with the defender in getting across the goal line?
