Jalen Hurd-IR-Baylor is waived

File that under believe it when I see it. Kid has all the measurables but is either too fragile to be in the pros or the most snake bit dude ever.

Totally. He's still rehabbing from the ACL last August...8-9 months so far. He'd rehabbing outside the facility but Lynch gets regular reports on how he's doing and is excited and confident he'll be good to go; will be coming to the facility soon.

Yeah I mean, injuries can happen at any time but I think most would figure you'd have to be super unlucky to get a freak injury for three consecutive years in a row.

Why can't this happen? Also, add in the threat of Lance. Dude is even bigger than Sermon, has a legit 65 yd hose, and runs like a gazelle. Talk about a DC's nightmare.

Because the chances of all those dudes being healthy at the same time....isn't great (Kittle as well). I would love for that to be the case, gotta see it to believe it though.

TY.

If they brought him back slowly last year and he tore his ACL, this year they may have him come back in a Sumo inflatable suit.

More like $100. He's a matchup nightmare.

But I have a feeling he will get hurt again.

Injuries aren't always random like lightning strikes. The odds of getting injured go up with the more injuries you have. It's like saying Tiger Woods should be healthy next year because you cant get injured 7 years in a row am I right?

Not necessarily. Sometimes injuries are just a case of bad luck. Just as you'll have guys that are lucky enough to avoid injuries, you're going to have those who get injured frequently, randomly. Some people never get into car accidents, other people will get into several that they didn't actually cause. Most people will never be struck by lightning, there's an unfortunate small number that will get hit multiple times.

I think with Hurd, you can't have any expectations but you hope that maybe his injury woes are behind him and that he can be a healthy asset to this team going forward. Certainly don't bet on it but it wouldn't be the most unusual thing for him to get over his streak of injuries. Tyrann Mathieu is a guy that comes to mind that had some crazy injury troubles early on his career who has seemingly gotten past them.

I don't know. I see it as an injured player isn't able to sustain their strength in some areas due to the injury. Then they must focus on the rehab while other portions may weaken. And then the dominos start falling.

Sure, a car accident could be bad luck. But the more accidents you are in, the more likely you are to be in another. Take a person with a perfect driving record and 0 accidents, and another that has been in 4 accidents, and who are you betting on to be accident free for the next 10 years. The person with 0 because they are due for one, or the person with 4 because they have a history? Might be their driving style, might be a curse, maybe their daily route is more accident prone. We don't know the reasons. Might not be their fault, but come on we are betting on the latter.

Doesnt mean it will happen. I'm not saying Hurd is done. Yeah, you can probably find 100 players that missed consecutive years and came back. And thats obviously the hope with Hurd. But just as there is a honey badger story, you also get stories like the Broncos RT Jawuan James news today. And countless other busts, the flame out of the league due more to injuries than talent.

He had back problems, then his knee blew out. Seems unrelated. I once broke both bones in my leg the same year. I thought I had problems, brittle bones or something like that. Nope, just a freak coincidence and havent had any additional problems with that leg in years. Could be similar for Hurd, if you hear any reports about back issues again though.......

Ward is another one — I just looked it up, he's played 27/32 (84%) regular season games the past two seasons after we all know how his career started, lol
