i still think Jennings has a better shot at making the team than Hurd.

hope he is ok and recovering for a shot at pre season.

If Hurd finally gets healthy he's way more talented than Jennings and would make the team easily over him. During his rookie year Peter King was at 9ers TC and said Hurd was one if not the best player out there and thought he would win rookie of the year

Would love that!

If you go off of facts only Jennings is ready to compete and we don't know about Hurd.
Ordered my Hurd jersey today!!!

I"m still rooting for him, even though he's been a disappointment. He's still better than AJ Jenkins. That dude should never have been drafted. Hurd's had a hurd of bad luck, and hopefully he's used it all up now, and all that's left is good luck.
The ironic part is that he changed college football teams so that he could switch from RB to WR. As a RB he was getting beaten up...which does go along with the position. Avg lifetime career for NFL RB = 5 yrs. i think Hurd was thinking of this when he switched positions.

The other part is i don't recall if anyone (altho surely JL must have ) really looked at his injury hx while still playing RB.

Irony is that he switched positions to avoid injury and lo and behold....gets injured...TWICE, once he gets here.. Last yr for Hurd. If he doesn't redeem himself this is it .That means a 16 game season, at least, and not missing game time. If there is even a modicum of that, i would say, damaged goods and cut him loose at end of yr.

My hope? Is that he has a barn burner yr. The kid has the goods. Can he keep the train on the track however, or is he just destined for one injury after another.

16 games is a little steep. By those standards the entire NFL is getting cut. Haha
Any reports on his physical status?
All this talk of a rookie QB sitting on the bench and it's this guy who's the best player on the field.
