Disagree

Yeah, he can still come back, but how much of his speed/quickness will be diminished?
His game is really not really reliant on speed. Quickness yes. That can be kept if he works at it like Trent has. Just got to stay focus and not get grustrated but angry like Trent in his comeback.

Just hope he can live and learn. As really he got cut from the TN Volunteers over not being a team player. Just hope he can mature.
He did didn't cut from TN, when they wouldn't allow him to switch position he transfer to Baylor. As far as team player - that's a load poo poo. A person has to think about their future and make choices. These college programs, once they are done with you won't help you. They will say thank you , too bad. They don't get paid. So, I guess you don't want Bosa and think he is selfish too? Is it selfish if a player comes out early?

As long as he's a 49er, I'll root for him.

Embarrassing fans there

Fans need to get over it, injuries happen, it's a fact of life. I'm not giving up on Hurd, he could come back stronger, maybe like McKinnon, who looks 100%.

Agree, McKinnon and Taylor should be able to keep his spirits up. If he's going to quit now, then good riddance, but he definitely has talent - and I agree with Kyle, he'll be back next year, and hopefully much stronger. He still is very young and has still a lot of potential. If Gore can defeat two ACL's - so can Hurd with his one. Too bad Kyle can't call in Gore to help Hurd's spirits right now.
Devastating news for the webzone pr machine. Who will they overhype now? Fantasy football wont be the same without the jalen hurd cyborg running through goal posts.

For the rest of the world the headline is "Air remains invisible"

Another av bust by shanny. Love his game plans but keep him away from the draft board.
I think back to wide receiver Mike Sherrard who played three years in SF after being drafted by the Cowboys. He missed three years after his Dallas rookie season and Coach Walsh stood by him and waited for him to heal. He became a productive NFL receiver. Maybe Hurd should call him and get some inspiration.

The other two 6'3"+ WRs on the roster with zero NFL snaps.
You guys gotta look at the positives,...his back gets some extra rest now. Leave the kid alone. With dedication he'll get his shot next year.
Never understood the hype for a player who has yet to step onto the field for a regular season game. Sucks that he is hurt(again), but some made him out to be the next WR HoFer...lol.

Have to wonder if we make bad picks or train them negligently. Or both.

He's just been unfortunate with Injuries. Like wards, Jet, Trent. It's part of football unfortunately. I'm sure he'll bounce back to play a big part in Kyle's offense next year.

it's football players get hurt...not sure why you gotta try to dig so deep into it.

Some guys have injuries coming out of college and come out fine and others don't. A guy tearing his ACL running a route vs air has nothing to do with poor training lol.

Go look around the league, s**t is happening all over the place.

No reason to be an ass about it. Not sure why you or anyone else needs to worry about who fans are excited about. If you're not excited about a player good for you, doesn't mean you should be so eager to gloat when said player gets hurt or doesn't perform well.

Hurd is a talented kid and I don't understand any 49ers fan who wasn't eager to see him play in this offense. Injuries happen to anyone. Hurd's talent was pretty clear when he was on the field. Judge him when he makes it back and not due to his injuries. If Pat Mahomes started his career with a rash of serious injuries would he have been a bad pick?

Jalen was a 3rd round pick in a draft which appears to be excellent overall. We can certainly afford to give him time before throwing around the bust word.

Gerald McCoy ruptured his quad moving backwards in a pass rush drill...when he wasn't even the one doing the rushing.

Weird sh*t definitely happens. And it's not like McCoy was known as an "injury prone" player.
Once again the job is Dante Pettis' to lose. Jimmy has too many mouths to feed right now anyways. Reed, Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, Jet, Taylor, Bourne, and Austin.

That'll do.
