Desean Jackson

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/buccaneers/2018/10/28/desean-jackson-trade-tampa-bay-buccaneers-request/1798803002/

Although Desean Jackson backtracked on his initial trade request, that situation in Tampa is getting messier. Fitz appears to be the starter, but I see major changes on the horizon. Jackson only has one year left on his deal and shouldn't be hard to extend. Also, having Goodwin and Jackson could put some major pressure on defenses trying to cover both at the same time. The Bucs balked at trading Jackson, but with the right compensation, I'm sure they will change their position. I also can't imagine Jackson being excited about starting over if the Bucs decide to move on from Dirk Koetter after this season. To top it all off, it brings him back to Cali.

What does everyone think of bringing in Jackson?

I would have no problem except he would need to take a huge paycut. He is still a good player but his price tag is way to high
Desean Jackson is back in the news today:
Turned 32 years old on 1 December 2018

  • Jackson is signed for next season with a base salary of $10 million …
  • Jackson's guaranteed money is up after this season … it's believed that he won't be brought back next year
  • due to his level of frustration and the emergence of Chris Godwin as a No. 2 receiver
  • Jackson has grown increasingly frustrated over his use in Koetter's offense and lack of chemistry with Winston
  • This season, Winston and Jackson are 14-of-34 (41.2 percent, no drops), and one touchdown …
  • With Fitzpatrick this year, Jackson is 27-of-38 (71.1 percent) and three touchdowns
My goodness all that speed with Goodwin, Pettis, Kittle, McKinnon, and Djax.

Yup. Someone's getting one-on-one. Would be great if we could send them players as opposed to draft picks lol.

Love all those players but keepin it real... 5 players with durability concerns. Would be a miracle if all five made it through a season.

I know for a fact Goodwin is guaranteed to miss games, Pettis has been unfortunate twice how he got twisted back so I'll hold off on him. Gotta add Breida to the list of guaranteed to miss games

Yup. And I love Kittle like everyone else does. But he missed games due to injury every single year from 2013 to 2017. Injuries we're a concern for scouts when it came to Kittle. Pray he could hold up cuz he's a huge part of the team.

McKinnon will probably be fine. But he's coming off that injury and he runs like a wild man. Sometimes full speed into defenders like a car crash. Was always a concern from Viking fans . Hopefully a solid rotation will keep him and Breida healthy. Clearly neither can be a workhorse . Nor should they be in this offense.
We should signed him for one year by 6.5 millions deal.

IMO, he still has stuff left in the tank

He did very well when Fitzpatrick was playing.
He is not going anywhere. He's a perfect fit for the chuck and duck offenses that Arians runs. One of his first moves as HC was to reach out to Desean and tell him "bb stay,I love you long time!"
I havent heard about this foo in about 5 years. He's still playing?

I remember the 49ers passed on him twice. lol
Nope, youth movement, and only Youth movement. No more Garcons or anyone taking up a spot.

Him and Winston have no connection. he'll probably leave. Jackson was on Fitz side and was open to the media about it. For some reason Winston is usually badly off target when throwing his way. I think it's a big reason Desean requested a trade. I'd be surprised if he's back.
