Thanks for the welcome and the sub. If we have learned anything, Lynch will get Shanny's role players in this offense. Overpay to some extent to secure Juice, Jet, Garcon, Quise, Weston, Jimmy G in Kyle's offense. RZ threat is still a need and while you can never have enough guys who can make plays, you can have too many egos. I like that Coleman is a true WR3-4 , experienced with his size, length, speed combo. I think securing him at his age (25) and presumed role in the offense is a low risk/high reward option that I prefer to going after Pryor at this point. Pay Coleman to be a WR4 instead of Pryor to be a WR1-2

8 TDs in 3 years with Drew Brees as his qb. He's weak and no redzone target.

That's not horrible production as a undrafted WR4 by the way... was behind Cooks, Thomas, Snead, Colston, RB's and TE's, etc for touches. He would immediately step into a similar role in our offense and be utilized better than the Saints. Saints red zone always was crazy play calling. At the very least he's different than what we have. I think he could compliment Garcon, Goodwin, Trent, Jet, Kittle and crew.
With the short passing game that we saw him Jimmy and gang last season, we have to address this somehow.
Coleman is 6'6 230, can run the slant, fade, or hitch/back shoulder, can catch the rock against a smaller DB. Sounds like a RZ threat to me.
A couple people have said he is weak or soft, where is this coming from? I don't see it. Also, I guess another question... why was this dude undrafted in the first place? Maybe I'm missing something, but his college tape is nice, brees trusts him, Saints fans want him back if for just for his blocking in the run/screen game, and he got better every season in the offense. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Yeah I've heard good things about his blocking.

I'm basing it off of seeing some saints games the last couple years. He always played soft. Doesn't play at all like you would guess with that size. Even saw embarrassing plays last year against the Jets. Big powerful guy but they easily popped the ball out his hands at a crucial time.

My bad fellas. Don't mean to be negative. I just wasn't a fan and followed him for a bit for fantasy football purposes and he was big letdown.

No worries ghost. I followed him in fantasy a bit too and saw some potential if a role ever got carved out for him in the offense. Still hopeful I guess... so much potential.
I saw those plays you were talking about though and were his first fumbles of career. Really bad fumbles too and hopefully learned from them... but the good outweighs the bad for me. Homeboy was in there at the end of the game and helped spring Ingram for a score.
