Ziggy Ansah

Only if we; don't get Bosa, get Allen, and draft a edge guy in 2nd. rd... If we DO get Bosa, then get a vet to mentor him and back him up.

FA begins March 13 so I doubt ansah will be on the market by the time the draft comes around

I doubt the 49ers will draft back to back pass rushers. There's still plenty of other holes on this roster in need of attention. The number 2 pick will be a pass rusher and they will dip their toes into the fa pool for the other imo.

I posted a couple of weeks ago in a thread that I expected the 49ers to be interested in Ansah. Lynch seems to lean on his personel guys and respects their opinion. As I posted earlier in this thread one of Lynch's right hand guys (Mayhew) is the guy who drafted Ansah.

Based on his injury issues, he seems like a good candidate for a Paraage incentive laden special.

I think Ansah was always going to be one of their FA targets. Unfortunately, by the time the new year arrives, most of the edge will be resigned and tagged, and Ansah could be the "crown jewel" of FA.

Dude is a good player, but ffs, he can't stay healthy whatsoever. If you're signing Ansah, you're doing so with fully expecting him to miss games next season.

And by rights, that being the case, they should steer clear, no matter how good. Kyle and JL have had plenty of up front and personal experience with injury and their players. I cannot believe they don't factor that in this yr forward. They surely should be..
Wouldn't underestimate the Mayhew connection coupled Paraag's contract skills.

Still the most sacks per game of any edge player in FA probably.
I would rather have the Vernon from the Giants. If we can work with his contract. Anzah takes games off, is often injured but I have a feeling we get him for a decent amount.
Would be the worst FA pick we could get at ER.

He is an injury waiting to happen.
Yeah i'll definitely pass on this dude, wanted him last year but not after his performance this season. He had a prove-it year and flopped, only 7 games played? We do not need another injury prone type of guy.

One of the least effective pass rushers on a per snap basis. He's the king of the coverage/cleanup sack.

That and he's 40.

Justin Houston says hi.
Would be worth grabbing at the right price. We need some nastiness on d.

I don't want Ansah as a 9er, dude is too injury prone. But I get this feeling he's on a flight to San Francisco.
