Allen Robinson best FA WR

It is worth mentioning, during Robinson's breakout season, the jags were running more of a vertical passing offense, which we won't run here. During his down year, they switched to more of a dink and dunk and intermediate game plan. Question is, does this regression in production fall solely on Robinson unable to succeed in this type of scheme, as Bortles and the offense as a whole also struggled mightily during the transition.

Add the ACL injury on top of this and how it will effect his ability to make cuts next season.

Watching Bortles lack of accuracy, you have to think Robinson could excel with GQ's ball placement.
One yr prove it deal.

Explain the other players percentages then? Drops isn't the only factor is catch percentage. He doesn't get much seperation due to being an average route runner without breakaway speed and is inconsistent on his jump timing. The latter is an issue going all the way back to college.

I'm not saying he's a terrible player. I'm just saying he's not worth the money it is likely to take to sign him.

My point is if he were having those percentages from a competent QB, then I'd think there would be something to be concerned over. We are talking about Bortles...a terrible QB. So I go back to balls that HE SHOULD catch but didn't...aka drops. Doesn't have that many really.

Another poster said it...put him with a QB like Jimmy G...dude would be MONEY!

AKA...this is the WR I hope for. Even if he doesn't come back until after week 6.

Pass.
Yep one year prove it deal! that is affordable, plus we sign Moncrief from the colts.

Or Decker!

I could go for that, ACL's on WR's are risky, loads come back fine, others struggle in and out of breaks, that wouldn't sit with Kyle.

A healthy Robinson would have been high on the wish list.
Would.

Decker and Gabriel and forget about the position for a couple years. Combined, we're looking at no more than $7M for both and we'd have a solid WR Corps...

Garçon, Goodwin, Decker, Taylor, Gabriel
The only reason I'm signing decker at this juncture is because his wife is pretty.

Some of you have a weird fascination with tall WRs. Robinson I can understand due to potential. Decker? He's already a slow WR and is on the wrong side of 30. He's already a 3rd option, 500 yard receiver. In a year or two he won't be playable. No thanks.
Not I said the blind man.

I'm taking a sure handed, large catch radius ability Jarvis Landry over any of those tall wrs mentioned. We need football players, not statues.

Beat Marcus Peters for a game winning TD in the playoffs..sure hes on the wring side of 30 but a 2 year deal?

I love Gabriel too in Shannys offense.. Theres several big body under class men coming out, gonna be interesting

That's not realistic. He knows his age, he knows his speed. He'll want a 4 year deal because he knows this is his last chance to cash in. He just did a 1 year prove it deal for $4 million after a terrible 2016. His agent will likely start at 5 years and somewhere in the low-30s and settle on a 3 or 4 year deal at $6-7 million per. That's his market value. I don't want him at his market value.

Oh and he isn't a real redzone guy. Too slow. That's why he only scored 1 TD all year. 1 TD on 11 redzone targets and 0 on 8 targets inside the 10.
