Some of you need to research the difference between slot and outside. It's not something simple and not just a reference to where they lined up. The route trees in which you run are vastly different, the skill set needed is vastly different. Slot is all about quick, short cuts like slants, outs ... etc. Outside is more about top end speed, strength, jumping (hence height being a bigger factor) and precise footwork. That's why they run posts, comebacks and fades.

Slot wrs hold no value in here, only Taylor.

Ofcourse, watch a bill bellichek conference on Landry, one wr that kept that best coach in the game up overnight for game planning.

Yeah you've said that about 4 times now I get...if he's such a brain buster for BB then why would Miami ever let him leave to begin with eh? Looks like a guy that gonna get tagged.

Taylor is 3rd overall in catches for rookie WRs this yr. I don't see kyle wanting to take snaps away from him because whether you like it or not they play the same spot on offense (in the slot).

What we do have is two smaller outside WRs one who's pretty old and one that has one yr left on his deal...imo if they add a WR that has the skill set to play outside.

Thank you
The sport is all about creating space, the teams that create space produce.

Patriots- multiple slot wrs = multiple champs

Seahawks sb win = multiple slots Tate/harvin
Don't compare an acl guy to one who's very durable

If that's the case then we don't need to upgrade a damn thing, our current guys are getting space. Imo you do need a guy that can high pt a football, who can catch a fade and win one-on-ones as well. It's the NFL there's not always gonna be separation regardless of who's playing.

And please don't throw Harvin in as anything, he didn't do jack s**t in Seattle outside of returning a TD in the SB.

Harvin had to be game planned for and worried about, everyone knows that. His jet sweep from the slot murdered the broncos.
Taylor was unguarded for us out of the slot, I'd want two of those on the field as much as possible. Can't defend that.

Sweet Harvin has one good game in Seattle....one of the worst trades of all time.

Gave up a 1st 3rd and 7th I believe then signed him to what a $67 million dollar deal (over 6 yrs) had a grand total of 23 catches for 150 yards
Played in the game that mattered most and roasted the #2 D in the league. I can still see champ bailey chasing him now.

2 rushing attempts for 45 yards and 1 catch for 5 yards in that SB.

The only thing he did for that team is have a KR for a TD.

Totally worth $62 million a 1st/3rd/7th
Jimmy G is unique with his quick release and accuracy over the middle of the field. Not a jump ball and pray kinda QB arm. Instead will shred you all around the hashes, perfect for slot wrs.
Harvins on field presence worried the Broncos game planning, numbers won't have to pop up to tell you where their head was. I think their offensive output provided that, as they were lost out there.
Taylor success has everything to do with garappolos skill set. He's not a let's pray and chuck it down the sideline deep kind of qb, he doesn't have to do that. This guy with more wrs like a Taylor or a Landry, only amplify to what jimmys skill strengths already are.
