So I was just reading comments to an article about free agents coming to the niners and seen in the comments someone say he has an opt out clause in his contract after this season and it's true, I kno it's crazy to think or maybe more like wishful thinking but he isn't having the year he did under Shanahan and if the falcons do nothing this year he could want out and exercise that opt out clause and become a free agent, but then the falcons can tag him correct ? Or is there something in the contract they can't if he opts out ? I kno this is a pipe dream but cool to imagine and converse about, I mean the thought of him wanting to play for Shanahan is not crazy..

They'd probably ask for the #2 overall pick for Julio. I LOVE Julio but just trying to connect the dots here.....If the Niners were unwilling to give up the #2 pick for a 26yr old Odell, why would they do it for a 30yr old Julio? Just trying to put myself in ShannyLynch's shoes here.

Atlanta has less than $5M in cap room now. Julio's cap number is $8.1M. They could stand to gain some cap room and a Jones trade would do that.

It would all depend on what they wanted in return. As you said, giving the #2 overall doesn't seem likely but if they were to include their FS, Demontae Kazee, I could be convinced. Kazee is a ball hawk - 7 INTs last year. 25 years old. Solves two big needs.

If they wanted a 2nd or 3rd round pick and next years 3rd I would do it in a heart beat. You put Julio in Shanahans offense with Kittle his numbers will only get better. Get it done Lynch!
