Kyle Fuller - CB

I don't hate him, but also don't trust guys to repeat their success when it came during a contract year. You have to wonder why the focus wasn't there before he was trying to get paid. In his defense though, he might have just finally figured things out.

A lot of risk comes with signing him long-term.

Nah, spend the money get a true #1 CB in Trumaine Johnson, Fuller is often injured, been benched and in and out of Fangio's doghouse.

Not with the money T.Johnson is going to demand. I'd rather spend that kind of money going after a LEO like E.Ansah. But I'll be stoked if we can get both which is very possible with our cap room.

To be fair, the kid is 25. Very young still.

I like Fuller a lot personally. Fuller or Johnson i would be happy with either.

Don't really like Johnson all that much because he looked lost with the Rams when he was asked to play any zone.

IDK who to trust anymore lol

Yeah, a good 2017. And the rest of his career is full of nothing but excuses. A late riser. Only a single year of production. Will get a big contract. Lots of risk in that scenario.

If you played against him prior to 2017 you were looking forward to feasting on him all week. He made his team worse.

If he's on a Kaepernick-like, series of 1 year deals, contract -- then I can support it. But big money for a dude who has one good year? I dunno, man.

If it takes significant guaranteed money for this guy -- it's a hard pass. Too inconsistent. Too many better options. Draft is teeming with quality, cheaper options. If somebody else wants him for big upfront dollars -- I would not feel any regret about missing out.

This is pretty much how I feel about Fuller too. The general consensus among Bears fans is that Fuller has been mostly inconsistent and disappointing.

Not to mention he's balled every year he's been in the league and not just in his contract year. His rookie season might be slightly better than last year. It's not like the guy has been trash then suddenly balled out.

He had an up and down rookie year, a down second year, an season ending injury third year, and very strong last year. Enough with the hyperbole. The kid has risk, but he also has more upside than any other CB on the market. His most recent tape suggests the arrow pointing up.

I don't believe he's going to be asking for a lot like Butler and possibly Talib IMO
According to La Canfora regarding rumors he's heard with DBs...

For the Chicago Bears, he talked about the importance of re-signing Kyle Fuller. However, while it is a priority, "he's going to find a lucrative market ahead and will not be returning to Chicago, according to a source with knowledge of the situation."

He wasn't great before his contract year...that's a red flag. Is he even a press corner?

I mean we play primarily zone cover 3 brah.

They use press-bail technique but it's not press-man, imo he's a good fit in this scheme.

I do agree with you only one yr of great play. I was more or less just throwing out info on him
