Cam lost a major sponsor and other players like Russ Wilson are using it to claim they support equality (as if Cam doesn't) https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seahawks/on-cam-newton-controversy-seahawks-quarterback-russell-wilson-supports-equality/ Wilson says most of the women in his life "know more about sports than he does". That's just it, most of us wouldn't share his experience. I've asked most of my friends about this today and we all agree most all of the women in our lives are not football fans to the point of analyzing plays. How many women are on this site doing such? Two, three...maybe five? I'd welcome it. Hey, if most women loved football I'd be a very happy man. Anyhow, I think it's obvious Newton wasn't suggesting women can't understand football, IMO his reaction was suggesting most women don't really have an interest in football to the point of analyzing plays etc, so it was a surprise to see. What do you think? Is he some sort of horrible sexist as so many are suggesting?

For me, Cam hasn't been the same QB since his beatdown in SB 50 at Levi's Stadium. Denver's defense was brutal...and Cam paid the price. He just doesn't seem to have the confidence he had before that.

Newton has been hit more times than any other QB in the league since 2011. He's been hit over 1200 times and second most is Russell Wilson at 860.

Don't mind or give a s**t about his quirky fashion sense, but his playing style has certainly caught up to him. He may never be able to rebound or recover from his multitude of injuries. As a compassionate person I feel for him. As a football fan, f**k the Panthers, I hope he sticks around for a while, and the Panthers continue to be mediocre.

Wwll, that could be related to his scrambling and does not necessarily refer to his offensive line. In fact, he had pretty good offensive linemen around him the last years.

Its was a really good run blocking OL, pass block, meh. And if thats related to scrambling, it doesnt make sense when you see that Wilson has been hit 400 less times.

Well, Wilson eventually scrambles smarter or is better in avoiding hits? Newton rather plays like a running back and I pictured him often to dove with his head first.

Not just in the Super Bowl. The teams also faced off against each other in week 1 the following season and Cam got straight up murdered. Just watch this video as a reminder:
