If the Niners 1st wasn't so high, I'd give it up. But I think there will be a really good player available at #9 because so many teams are QB desperate...and that should create a nice slide in top talent.

If it wasn't for the off the field issues and my concern what type of teammate he is I would have no problem giving up the #9 pick. Hell he was the #12 pick only 3 picks later then this years pick and on the field has lived up to and surpassed that draft position. At #9 we are not sure what we are going to get but you know what he brings.

Who from the giants organization has said obj is a bad teammate?

It's crazy how people on this board try to completely undervalue OBJ. he's a legit superstar and top 2 WR.

Dude go back to his draft thread and my old mock in here the yr he was drafted...he was my draft crush I wanted him BAD before he became a superstar.

AGAIN you're missing the pt...NY had OBJ on the books for like $2.5 million per yr the past 4 yrs! 1st rd picks are GOLD, you can have a talent like OBJ cheap for 4-5 yrs man.

Now it's time to pay up and NY doesn't want to plus they want multiple first ... lol f**k off gettleman.

At some point you have to trust your scouts/GM to find talent in the 1st. That's how you build long lasting winning teams. If they can't, well they get fired and you find someone that can.

A top 10 pick is out of the question imo. Let some other team fork over a ton of picks and $20 million per yr for a WR. If we were talking about a QB (and we needed one) that's different.

I'd love to have OBJ in SF but not at the cost of a top 10 pick (and paying him $20 million per yr).

Most of this board advocated for Ridley or Sutton as the #9 pick and some still do. In hopes that they could become half of what OBJ is. So don't tell me he isn't worth the pick. That makes no sense. The way cap can be manipulated now i don't to hear anything about money. Great players get paid by billionaires to perform. Of course it would be great to have him for 500k a year for 5 years but that's not how this works.

If you think trading one pick away for a superstar it is not going to destroy the future of the team then I can't really take you serious.

Agreed!

Well Odell himself
"I don't care about the flag. I just broke this game open. I'm going to celebrate the way I want." ~ Team Player

and then his QB
"He made plays and so it's one of those deals where you can get real sick of it if he's not going out there and making plays, but when he goes out and has a couple of huge catches and 200 yards and a game-winning touchdown, you still want him to be smarter, but you accept it a little easier."

Those are from 2016 and he has only gotten more self serving....

Giants Owner

"I think too often he allows himself to be put in bad situations and needs to use better judgment," Mara said in a stern public rebuke.
"As I've said before," Mara said, "I'm tired of answering questions about Odell's behavior and what the latest incident is. I think he knows what we expect of him, and now it's up to him."
Mara, asked earlier in the day by the New York Post and Newsday whether Beckham's behavior in the video was an indication that he failed to live up to the team's expectations, said, "it wasn't helpful."

Prime Beckham would no doubt be a force... but the way he is going he is more TO than Rice. When was the last time the top WR in the league won a SB by the way?

Lmao this is the most hall monitor-ish post I've ever seen. You're fun at parties i bet.

People who wanted a WR at 9 had no idea what they were talking about...they just wanted a WR because it's a flashy pick so they can talk to all their buddies about it or draft him in fantasy lol. Clearly Kyle is fine with who we have (and who they can possibly draft) because we didn't even sniff a single WR in FA.

Please show me all the people that still feel like a WR should be the pick at 9?

AGAIN you seem to leave out the part where SF has to pay him $20 million per yr...ALSO they want TWO 1st rds picks not one.

Stop leaving parts out to prove whatever point you're make.

If OBJ was this perfect player then he wouldn't be available for trade. I'd rather have my 9th overall pick (and probably another picks) and that $80- $100 million to invest in our own players along with a couple top end FAs. I'm not giving up a top 10 pick and a future 1st...a couple 2nds then theres something to talk about.

We don't have to agree...if you can't take me seriously, well I really don't care lol

This isn't the NBA where you win with 6 players. If you don't understand that then I can't take you serious either.

Again. You come with the same tired arguments. I addressed the point about paying him. You can pay anyone and he's not getting 20 million so you can quit using that as a hardline.

Your best argument is always if X wasn't Y then he wouldn't be available lol. It's so tired. That's not a strong point. It's actually pretty weak. They aren't getting 2 firsts. They'll get 1 and maybe a 3 or 4.

You say the same thing every time you arguing for a player you want and the same thing when arguing against players you don't. It's weak and tired.

You really think I'm gonna go through he entire board and find all the posts of people wanting Ridley and Sutton lmao GTFO.

oh okay...since when have I been all about trading two 1st rd picks and giving a WR $100 million? I wanted Arob but that wasn't gonna cost top end draft picks...that's the future my man. Sorry if you don't understand that.

I could say the same thing about your stale arguments in here. Stop acting like I'm the only one that takes a certain stance on how to build a team.

You want to throw away a bunch of picks and make OBJ one of the highest paid players in the league more power to ya. I don't think he's worth that, he plays a position that dependent on other players.

If the price is right the go after him...of we're throwing away top picks in multiple years then I'm gonna pass

Don't hold you breath because I doubt kyle feels that way as well...man you sound like another poster in this forum I haven't seen in a while
