Future picks.
Veteran players.
Pick swaps.

They're not doing a top 10 pick straight up. If the Rams are offering #23 and a future 3rd... they can have him. I would not be willing to match that purely in draft comp.

And if that's the case, we might as well tank next year for a highers pick or pray for a Wild Card spot cuz ODB gonna rape us.

Nothing wrong with some debating honestly I don't know of anyone else I said bring in on a 1 yr prove it deal...outside of someone that was coming off a serious injury, which makes sense no?

I take it it's a no from your side for a 1st and 4th? (The one schefter speculated on). Now if the contract was more around 17mil would you be more inclined to, or is that #9 the sticking point? I go back and forth...but I think I'd do it.

I think i would gamble and give up #9 for ODB and maybe we could get a third/4th rounder back from their side.

I hate the head issues the kid has, but he would add another dimension to this offense, and give the new DB's in the division something additional to worry about.

I dont see anyone at #9 that could potentially have a bigger impact personally.

Please god no.... this reminds me of when the zone wanted Josh Gordon a few years back before he was out of the league and came back. OBJ doesnt want to change his lifestyle and he is a cancer to team unity and motivation by all accounts.

He loves football but the conflict of interest with his brand and his twitter account make me think he is gonna start Manziel'ing his way out of being one of the top WR's in the league. Who knows he could be like Gronk and pull it off, but more likely he goes the route of Jeremy Shockey who had all the talent to be the "best" TE in the league but partied his way to just being a "good" player after his first contract.

So comparing a lifelong alcoholic and pothead to ODB, who's never been busted for any of that. Sounds accurate.

To be fair, I would still want Gordon. He's a f*cking BEAST.

Pretty much my thinking as well
I'm banking on Sunday being the day we trade for him.
Has OBJ been arrested before? Judging from some folks here it's as if he's Aldon, OBJ's only problem if it's really a problem is that he's always in the scenes and partying. There has never been rumors that he's a cancer and teammates hate him, if the price is right there's no doubt we should go after a top 5 player

Oh i would do 1-9 for 2-1, 2-3 & Gordon in a heartbeat. That puts Gordon's value at 170 which is a mid 3rd rpund pick.

I know im in the minority but id rather have 2-1 and 2-3 than 1-9 or 1-15 and a mid 2nd straight up. So adding a player like Gordon on top of it..... IN A HEARTBEAT

Trade down with NO for 1-27, their 3rd and 2019 1st (they get Baker Mayfield)

We then trade 1-27 and 3-27(ish) for Beckham. We then basically get Beckham and a 2019 1st for 1-9

Can't see the Saints wanting to do that. They are already without a 2nd that they gave us last year.

People make stuff up.

Yes, he comes with significant risks. That's why he is being traded.

That said -- do you think for one second that Paarag would do a deal that doesn't protect the team? Moreover, he'll never be traded unless he agrees to a new long term deal. So, he's only coming here if he's on an extension that mitigates his in-game behavior risk.

An OBJ trade would likely be a draft day thing, like Cooks last year.

The patriots gave up a 1st for cooks. But people on WZ will tell you OBJ isn't worth a 1.

I definitely trust Marathe to come up with a good contract so I'm not even worried about the money, I just don't agree with qb money he's asking for but if he wants to get paid more than AB like 18 mil I have no problem because his play on the field shows it. If we lose out on him I just cannot stand seeing him go to the rams and I don't know how lynch and Shanahan can do the same if that's the team we're chasing

I could see that. Let the Giants get laughed at for asking for 2 firsts, wait for the asking price to come down a little, and then go get him. This offseason has given me blue balls so I hope they add Odell or land an impact player in the draft. If they don't trade for Odell and end up drafting a fraud like Harold Landry with the top pick, it will be one depressing offseason.
