That's a nasty contract for a receiver that's coming off a mediocre year and injury prone.

$14.75 mil the next two years, heck no I wouldn't pay that for all his injuries.

Wouldn't' mind him at all. Just gotta be cautions of the injuries.

maybe in a restructure and trade type deal w/injury clause. stretch the $14.75 over a 3rd. or 4th year and backload it. Injury clause can include a voidable year??

i wouldnt mind having the 6'3 Decker on the outside.. Garcon on the other side.. Kerely on the slot.. with Goodwin and Robinson on the bench.. we dont have a true number 2. Decker's size provides nice contrast to all the 5-11 speedsters we have

have to be a total restructuring of his contract after a thorough physical.
He has been a big, tough receiver over the middle but in so doing, he has absorbed a lot of punishment. That builds up and eventually you just can't do it anymore. Hence, a restructure if at all.
At some point we just need to develop what we have. I don't feel and sense of desperation to "win now" by signing guys who may be damaged goods. Let's let our former college WR, now HC, develop the guys he has into the kind of players he wants for his system. Signing another guy that may not fit will only take reps away from young, healthy guys that will be with us much longer than an Eric Decker.
*now watch Lynch sign him tomorrow. hehehe*
