Tony Jefferson

Looks like he isn't going to get resigned by the Cardinals
Would love having him here, did a mock last season and I wanted him as a free agent pick up

This is what i wrote about him
3.) Tony Jefferson- Value wise this could end up being our best FA signing. A 23 year old safety from the Cardinals who got there as an UDFA, this guy has been turning heads since Arians moved Buchanon to a LB type role instead of safety. This is what PFF had to say about him
– Jefferson ranks third among safeties in Run Stop Percentage (11.0%) when lined up within 8 yards of the line of scrimmage at the snap and his 20.0 Tackling Efficiency (tackles per miss) in the passing game is fourth.

Still want even though we switched schemes, we could find a place for this guy to play somewhere
This I have been confused that there is no love for this guy. Been saying the same for a while. Would be a great improvement and hurt a division foe!

Nice run stopper but inconsistent in coverage. Think a slightly bigger version of Whitner but with worse awareness.

In our new scheme we wouldn't really need him to cover (at least not the deep ball)
He would be more of a flats coverage/run stopping safety

Haven't really done much homework on the new scheme but thats how I would envision him playing here

Not true, the SS has coverage responsibilities that can go beyond 20 yards if he has the TE responsibility or if it's a pass and he has the responsibility of everything behind him on his side of the field. I rather see what Reid/Tartt can do at SS.
@nflrums account is adamant he's signing with SF FWIW

Yeah I've been seeing this for over a week now too. Couldn't hurt to bring in more competition I guess

That Twitter acct yesterday said he is signing with the 49ers on Monday. It's gotten a lot of stuff right and a few things wrong so we'll see.

ward can always get hurt or go back to underachieving. tart never should have been signed in my opinion. i think we only have three guys back there..... i foresee the team taking the very best cb out there with our number two pick. if we sign a vet cb that would be gravy

Man I want Elijah Molden badly. Dude is so fkn underrated and is getting no love in this draft. I think he can become a solid NFL CB, especially in the slot.
