Taylor Gabriel- RFA

Depth and playmaking ability is a great thing. He should beat out Robinson, Bourne and McCaffrey. Plus, he'll be cheap and it'll be his 3rd or 4th time in Kyle's offense.

Why? Goodwins just fine
I have him replacing Aldrick Robinson in my mock off-season, younger and more of a playmaker IMO.

6th man off the bench ;) 4 WR specialist or a sub package as the 3rd WR instead of say Taylor.

And he knows the offense alway. Plus, he will probably sign for around $2-2.5M / year. Excellent depth, that can produce like a starter when called on. He's a huge upgrade over Aldrick and dangerous with the ball in his hands.

Is there a rule somewhere that says that you can only have one speedy receiver? Gabriel would be an asset that would give Shanahan another weapon to play with. Would take him over Robinson every day of the week.

I like Gabriel but wouldn't it be him vs Taylor? Both play the slot and I think Gabriel is better. Not sure if Shanahan would make this move.

We run 4 wr sets, you also can't simply rely on a receiver group with limited depth. This team was starting an undrafted rookie and street fa last season.

Depth is always good, injuries happen and the sort of mismatch ability that Gabriel presents is something that Shanahan can always utilize, regardless of who is around him.

He's a #5 that produces, and he would come cheap

I don't get the hate. They can bring him in as well as a larger outside WR and redzone TE

I'm not hating on him. I think he's good at what he does. But I don't see what he adds. He would provide more value to another roster. He's getting way overhyped on here for no other reason than he played for Shanahan for short time. He's not better than either Goodwin or Taylor. He doesn't return kicks any better. He's just more of the same.

I get bringing in top tier talent at WR for Goodwin, Taylor, et al. to compete against. But Gabriel is just fodder. May not even make it out of camp.

totally agree! Hard pass for me as well.

Nah I disagree. I think Gabriel can do what Taylor does but better in almost every way. Much faster and better in the open field. Just didn't really think he was an option because him and Taylor so similar. Personally I think it should be between him, Martavis Bryant, or Marquise Lee. We get one of those three or none because I don't want Robinson with a huge contract and no one else seems worth it.
