Hey what do you guys think of NT Brandon Williams as a FA pickup? Amazing run stuffer. Might have to throw alot of cash at him but he is the first major step to stopping the run.

If we can get Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Williams, thatd be one hell of a Free Agency

I think almost any decent pick up should help, I just don't think Baalke thinks the same as we do.

But 7 straight losses and no changes are gonna be made....freaking mind boggling!!! This only tells me that Baalke WANTS to tank the season.

Which would be the smart move. Why bring in some mediocre veterans that you will only end up cutting a few months from now. At this point the best thing the 49ers have is a shot at the #1 or #2 pick in the draft, no reason to f**k that up like they did last season.

Can we overpay bell, he would be so perfect for chip. Steelers wont give him that 13m a year contract he wants

I honestly thin Bell would go to New England. Belichick rarely heaps praise on players but he slobbered himself over Bell

Patriots don't pay people, this guy made a rap song about his desired contract. Hes perfect for chip however, steelers know they do not need him. They will draft another back.

it must be but as much as i want that #1 overall pick, this is just embarrassing! Sad thing is that i make myself watch every second of these sh*tshow games.

But honestly we have the biggest cap space going into 2017 and we should pick up some core players to cover our holes. I think we can make a big leap in the standing in 2017 if we have the right management making the right moves. Picking up Brandon Williams will be a good 1st step to shutting down the run

Which brings me back to the reason why I said (in another thread) that I don't think Baalke is worried about losing his job. He's in no hurry to sign free agents to save the season, he's letting things unfold by itself and going about his business without a care in the world.

......hopefully the 9ers stay the course and we end up seeing the #1 or #2 overall pick!!!

We have a huge amount of cap space next year. Unfortunately so does half the league. We should be at the 100m range along with Cleveland. But a team really only needs about 20-25m in available space to make one big splash comfortably. There are 20 teams in the 40m range or more! That amount of league wide available cap will greatly diminish the amount of talent that actually gets to free agency. Then on top of that, you now have half the teams capable of getting involved in the negotiations for those few decent players that reach the open market. Of all the times to be awash in cash, 2017 is one of the worse. Better than being in cap hell, but not a good time to turn a team around.
