Free Agency Rumors/Pending Signings

Is there any chance kap was pulling this in order to renegotiate a deal with the 49ers? Kind of a this is what the rest of the league values me as so I want a better contract sort of thing? Would anybody be surprised if kap was signed to a long term deal? If he wasn't hurt last year, there would be a chance kap would be signing a new contract this offseason.

Lol, I hope that's not the play here. Right now it's looking like there is some interest in Kap but nobody wants him at his current salary. So if it's about the money, staying in SF is his best bet.

Kap just needs to quit being a baby. If he works hard, hes got a starting QB job making 12 mil right here. He fits Kelly's scheme too. He would be worse off in any other situation, both on the field and $ wise.

Either way, the team can cut him prior to April 1st and save that money. Nothing I've seen, read, or heard says otherwise. If you have something that says that we have to pay him regardless, please provide link.

Just Google Kaepernick and injury. No one's gonna bother to post a link to old news if you won't even Google it yourself. It's been out there for months.

Not true. The team saves $11.9 million by cutting him prior to April 1st. That's his base for 2016 and is guaranteed if he's on the roster on April 1st.

If he was healthy. You cant waive an injured player. He isnt and likely wont be healthy before April 1st so they would have to work out a hefty injury settlement.

The seabags just signed some O-lineman from Arizona who sucks so we should still be able to get that Ted Larson guy (who's slightly better), no? Oh sorry I forgot, Baalke doesn't sign anyone before the first week of FA has passed. It's against his GM religion.

Andre Smith choosing between the Vikings and Cardinals. He says it's "even".

It's when the departures list is overwhelming the additions list that I get worried, like last year.

If he goes to the card they are going to be stupid stacked.

andre would really help solidfy that offense.

Not sure where he fits on the vikings, loadholts a pretty good RT, and im not sure smith is a good LT. Plus you need ot factor in boone who might play tackle for them, could play guard doe.

inb4 "the vikings have Matt Kalil" that dude blows and is only still considered ok because his brother is awesome.

Still haven't replaced any of last year's departures
I'm aware of the injury guarantees in Kap's contract.

What I'm trying to say is, why is so much being made of the 4/1 deadline if there's no way Kap can pass a physical by then?

Why does he make the move to have his agents request the trade and then make sure it leaks publicly? That seems to me to be a tactic to lower his value and try to leverage the team into cutting him. If he knows there's no chance of the team even being able to cut him, why do that?

Doesn't make sense. Unless he's further along in his rehab from his surgeries than the public is aware of at this point and would be able to pass a physical prior to 4/1.

Andre smith sucks man lol...56th ranked OT this year awful in pass blocking and even worse at run blocking there's a reason cinci didn't resign him and he wasn't already signed...I hope they over spend for this lazy fat boy lol
Ian Williams was the 35th ranked NT? Also how was Boone the 29th ranked guard? He had a bad year last year.

The only way he's getting off this team is in a trade that's why he asked for permissiom...SF found a trade partner but he doesn't want less money lol. Can't have you cake an eat it too.

There's zero chance SF cuts him because they will have to pay his guaranteed cash of $12 million and I don't think they would cut him even if he some how passed his physical before 4/1...he has value even if people think he doesn't on here.

if you understood everything why'd you ask for a link?
