Could work in our advantage too. Go into the season with Kap, Gabbert and a rook. Play Kap to raise his trade value and let the rook sit. Wait for an injury or something. Trade Kap for max value for the 2017 draft that Trent is already loading picks up on. Rebuild complete after 2017 offseason

Ehhh there's a ton of time to trade him...SF has all the leverage because they have over $60 million with him on the team lol.
If he somehow doesn't get traded then the best way he can make more money is to maximize his trade value and play good football.
