I think there's a good chance we can sit at 7 and still land Goff, but I'd watch out for the Rams. They might make a big move into the Top 10 to grab a QB. They have nothing at the position.

That Denver 2nd could move the 49ers up to Pick #4 pretty much. That would guarantee a QB or an elite prospect like Buckner or Ramsey.

Or your boy Prescott in the late 2nd and get whoever drops to #7.

Agreed

That means his agent was flapping both teams back and forth to get the best deal. 49ers already said they would not overpay for anyone. Well when you don't have an attractive FO more money is what it's going to take. Of course the player could also just tell his agent no way I'm going to SF so just take what you can get from the other team.

That is the answer.

I would have liked Smith here but in reality, we have some decent CBs who would greatly benefit from a good pass rush. Smith would have been a costly addition and even he was not great while KCs excellent pass rushers were injured last season. Good, but not great = not worth the money it would have taken to get him here.

Welcome to Expansionville USA People. Yorked effed up and he eefffed up Bigtime. At least he shoulda gotten rid of Baalke a Long Time ago but for some ungodly reason, he holds onto him Like the Sultan and Jaffar in the movie Aladdin

Cool story, bro.

If you really think Harbaugh didn't want to weasel his way to Michigan, I don't know what to tell you.

Harbaugh wanted a raise and didn't get it from dipshhit York. Harbaugh wanted more control on the roster and didn't get it from dipshhit baalke so a divorce was iminent

Harbaugh's offense and failure to develop Kaepernick did not deserve a raise. Fault the FO for the rumors but the decision to let Harbaugh go was foretold before he was even hired. "Short shelf life."

The problem is that the deal you mention is not so attractive that it must be taken. The Broncos need to make sure they provide the Niners enough ammo that a trade into the top 3 would not require a whole lot of selling. Because w/o Kap -- the Niners are drafting for need, not BPA.

The Broncos will pay up, they are desperate as fxxk now.

They need to. Here are the other options: RG3, Hoyer, Fitzgerald. LOL

Kap is easily the best option. Pay up.

3rd and Talib.

Player for player trades are rare. They're not giving us Talib. He's 30 years old anyway.

Rare but they happen. Talib is far better than anything we currently have.

No way! Talib is 30 and still has $32 million in cap hits coming his way in the next 3 years. We'd be doing Denver a favor lol. Draft picks or nothing! We are rebuilding not contending for a play off spot...got to think long term

I'm pissed we didn't make any moves on the top players for whatever reason, but it's over time to move on...there's still some talent out there. We are clearly rebuilding (mainly through the draft).

Wisniewski and Ayers would be nice. Fill the need at center and a pass rusher.

Geoff Schwartz would be a bonus.
I think Kaep gets dealt today.

But....But...But.....the Niners have money and need to spend it on good players!!!!

Boone was making $3m a year and tried to get an extension for $5m. lol Paraag is one cheap ass dude.

he had two good years than garbage and then he b***hed about how hard he had to work. no thanks
eh, he wasn't garbage. He did drop off from prior years but he was a middle range starter in the league. Baalke got stuck in the "don't pay guards" mentality and it poisoned the relationship beyond repair.
