Not true. When you look at the options out there and the money being thrown around Kap is a good deal. Their 2nd is essentially an early 3rd rounder. Kap is a MUCH better option for the broncos then any of the other QB's out there. He could step in and immediately be an upgrade over what they had last year.

This. As much as I have knocked Kaepernick, some are insanely underrating his value. Where are these great options better than Kaepernick for a team like Denver to choose from? They need someone ready to start from Day 1. Having playoff experience certainly doesnt hurt.

The FO is bad and has a bad rep. That is sure to turn people off then you throw in the Chip Kelly part which I'm sure plays a little into it.
Build through the desft has always been my philosophy. Plus a lot of these guys are getting way over paid

^^^^

Who cares about the front office from a players' standpoint? Players make their money and get their recognition based off of their play on the field, not what the FO is doing. How much do players really interact with Jed and Trent? Teams like the Jaguars and Raiders, who have been bad for YEARS are signing Free Agents simply because they are willing to pay top dollar and Baalke is not. Nothing more than that, IMO

That's a great point. If we're parting with Kap, definitely need to make sure we position ourselves to land Wentz or Goff.

I think there's a good chance we can sit at 7 and still land Goff, but I'd watch out for the Rams. They might make a big move into the Top 10 to grab a QB. They have nothing at the position.

That Denver 2nd could move the 49ers up to Pick #4 pretty much. That would guarantee a QB or an elite prospect like Buckner or Ramsey.

Or your boy Prescott in the late 2nd and get whoever drops to #7.

The Raiders is now the definitive No.1 team in the Bay Area. Good job, Baalke!! You are the best!! Always!!

We will see...clearly we are building though the draft no FA. The only deal I liked the Raiders making with the Irvin deal to be honest. Big FA buys don't always make for great teams (Philly's "dream team" comes to mind) a lot of those dudes don't play like they did when they were hungry for a contract.

Pick up Schwartz, Hayward, Freeman, trade Kap for at least a 2nd and let's go up and get your boy Goff

That's the biggest load of bull I have heard. Harbaugh always wanted to stay with the 9ers, he wanted an extension, a raise and better control of the roster as Baalke was fxxking it up. In the end he was in effect fired from the 9ers and after that he went with his heart and signed with Michigan.

Maybe it was baalkes playcalling that lost the Superbowl and nfc chamionship game

I want their 31st pick OR a 2nd this year and next (depending on playing time)....Broncos have zero leverage in this. We don't have to get rid of Kap and have a butt load of cash with him still on the team.

True, and that's probably what the Niners will say at the negotiating table. Comes down to how bad the Broncos want him.

yup...I get how fans are on here about Kap but look around at other teams and how much low end QBs got paid (and players in general this FA).

Kap's contract is gold and I'm guessing the Broncos could rework it as well. The Broncos current QB is a 7th round draft pick Baalke is playing hard ball and unless he get's what he wants then I'm fine with keeping him on the team, we clearly aren't hurting for cash lol.

The Broncos will pay up, they are desperate as fxxk now.

I agree, if we press them hard enough they will part with a 2nd rd pick. It's at the bottom of the 2nd rd too, so still basically a 3rd. But I don't see us getting anything higher than a 2nd for Kap. Denver is the perfect option, they desperately need a veteran starter.

lol they would never do that. Just sign RGIII and draft a QB

Of course they would. Kap is hands down the best option available and has a very impressive resume for only about 3 years worth of playing time. Broncos are a playoff team with a strong Oline, solid defense and a HC that knows how to run the ball. Kap for a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year is a steal for a team that can win the SB again with a player like Kap. He will be better than Peyton was down the stretch and has that big play ability that Peyton didn't with weapons (Thomas and Sanders) that would greatly benefit from that. Kap has played in a prehistoric offensive system with bad Oline play the last few years and still rarely turns the ball over. Why wouldn't the Broncos agree to that?

why wouldn't they? they'll end up paying more for RG3 then what Kap has going on in his current contract as far as guaranteed cash goes. Who they drafting at 31 that looks like a franchise QB?

Kap would be good in Kubiak's offense. RG3 is one hit away from being out of the league who they rolling with after that?
