Raiders continuing to do things right... Their offseasons from 2014 onwards have been outstanding. Reggie Mac's plan is all coming to fruition, can't wait to see what they do in the draft.

Teams like the Browns need to take notice. You can be awful for consecutive years in a row, but if you put the right people in place & give them time. You'll see progress year after year.

LOL I bet you were praising the Eagles when they assembled the 'dream team' too. Spending big early in FA is a known failing strategy. Year after year the team that "wins" FA is rarely a better team in the long run.

This is exactly what I expected. Said it on the other thread that we'd be lucky to get 1 big name player in FA.

We could have a billion dollars in cap space, doesnt matter when nobody wants to play here. Its gonna take at least this season to get the stink of the pass couple seasons off us. From the time they fired Harbaugh through to firing Tomsula this franchise's image has been wrecked. We can just hope to be respectable this year and hopefully wash some of the stink off us and maybe people might wanna play here again.

All we can hope for is a good draft and thats asking a bit much, but its all we got.

Agreed... and that's all on York/Baalke. Hard to single out one or the other but they created this fkn mess and us as fans have to deal with this crap. I'm fine with us not going after Malik Jackson for 6 yrs -$90m or Vernon for 5 yrs/$85m but if we didn't offer to pony up a few more million to bring in a guy like Sean Smith then we are just plain stupid. I'm not saying buy everybody but holy sh*t man.

We let all the good guards sign. Thankfully there are still a few good corners left but why would they want to come here. If I was going to overpay for 1 guy, it would have been Sean Smith.

Raiders have been making the right decisions year after year lately. It's nothing like the Eagles dream team. The draft is where they made their biggest moves & then they've complimented it in free agency. They are building the type of team that will be able to contend for a number of years. All the talk I hear from them is what the are building towards, not once have I heard them claim to have the best team in FB.

The Texans on the other hand spent big on an unproven QB, when the could have done the same thing in the draft for cheaper.

I really doubt FA defense players are going to want to sign here to be on the field that much.Hope I am wrong

I think there is definitely something to that. Combine that with being a dysfunctional organization & it's a recipe for really anybody that's worth a damn to not come here
