Brandon Brooks Eagles deal: $40 million, $21M gtd, $11M signing bonus, salaries $1M (full gtd), $5M (full gtd), $8.5M, $7.5M, $7.5M

Worth it or nah?

Oh, the irony.

We just explained to you that that "Nasty Defense" lost a couple key pieces and might not be so nasty anymore.

Malik was a 5th rounder Elway found. Probaly do the same this year too

Jackson was drafted in 2012 and didn't contribute much until this year. In fact, it was the first year he started more than 5 games. So, no, he probably won't be able to instantly replace Malik Jackson in the 5th round.

Me too. Anytime Seattle doesn't want you on their o-line, something is seriously wrong.

Part of the reason the Raiders are going all in is probably because they can see the Broncos have been taken down a little.
and perhaps it is also cuz they have adhered to the theory that has never been proven right that you can build a winning team in on off season by going crazy and throwing money at free agents. the people who are all crying about the niners not spending today have only themselves to blame as they tricked themselves into thinking just because we have money we totally change how we do things. signing smith last year on day one is about the only time i remember them being very active on day one. the smart fans here know most of the work the team does is on days two three and four

Then I'm not sure what you're getting at, I've never said the blocking grades are garbage and think it's one of the only good uses because there's not really any better way to grade an o-lineman because there's not really any quantifiable stats at the position.

A system that grades a CB low that just won DROY and made the Pro Bowl in his first season deserves criticism. Not sure how that's hard to understand.

Not Phoenix, but I'll throw out a projection. The return of Anthony Davis obviously helps. I wouldn't be shocked if Trent Brown slid down to guard either.

LT: Staley
LG: Tiller
C: Kilgore
RG: Brown
RT: Davis

I figure we'll add some depth and a potential starter or two over the next couple days (Larsen, Geoff Schwartz?) and then we'll address OL in the middle rounds.

Alex Mack would've really helped the picture IMO. Hopefully we'll take a stab at Wisnewski or Manny Ramirez at center. I think we can get the guard spots and RT sorted out with the rest of the guys.

There appears to be some defending FO taking a conservative approach to building the roster.

Do they really want this team to WIN or are they just supporting like Jed bots.

Fortune favors the bold. Jed has a lot of work to do to come any where near close to his uncles shoelace.

Fortune does not favor the bold when it comes to free agency. Fortune favors the frugal and the patient.

People up in arms about Larsen and Dunbar and neither has been offered a contract yet.

Smh.

I suppose you can't really put a price on winning the free agency championship. Granted, it rarely translates to real wins but at least the fan forums will be happy. #perspective
