Free Agency Rumors/Pending Signings

Nah, at that point it would be coming down to either spending money on players or handing it over to the NFLPA. Oakland for example had to spend a chunk of money this year or it would be lost to them.

We trade Kap yet?

go niners

We're sitting pretty with Kap man. After Osweiler signed with Houston Kap became the best "available" QB on the market. My guess is we're talking to a handful of teams about him and are trying to get someone to come up off a high draft pick or two.

I'd be surprised if he isn't traded before the weekend.

You could hold him until closer to the draft if it makes a team sweat and up an offer. Riskier though

True. Denver is in a bad spot lol. Elway bet on Osweiler coming back and it blew up in his face.

Cleveland still needs a QB too.

uh the 49ers need an OLINE and a Pass rusher. And Dunbar has a torn ACL/MCL

1. Signing Lance Dunbar wouldn't preclude us from signing other people.

2. An ACL/MCL injury isn't a death sentence.

3. He has value as a receiver out of the backfield.

4. I doubt he'll get any guaranteed money. It's a no-risk proposition with the potential to pay at least some kind of dividends.

Denver is in Great Shape. All they need is a Decent just Decent QB and they wil be back in the Playoffs. Plent of middle end QBs will love to go there.

This is the weakest FA crop in years, and teams are still overpaying these awful FAs top dollar. We are smart to be avoiding this train wreck and saving cap room for the future when we finally need to be able to sign that missing piece to put us over the top. How are people not getting this lol.

I think people aren't getting the fact the niners could of paid reasonable deals to
Brooks 8 mil
Irvin 10 mil (somewhat reasonable)
And a few other contracts that were good today. Danny T probably wanted to go with fox so I won't use that as an example.

You're assuming those guys wanted to come here. What we are willing to pay someone is irrelevant if other teams are paying the same/similar and they want to go there and not here.

Not really assuming. We could always offer a mil or two more bc money does in fact talk a lot of the time. Giving brooks 9-10 mil a year would of probably done it and Irvin who knows. He said he didn't want to give any home town discounts so I got to believe he is a bit about the money.
I think we sign 3 players tomorrow

I'd prefer Shaun Draughn.

A team that was 1 KC win away from a WC spot that has lost both their QB's, a starting DE and an ILB thus far.

Puff puff give man.

Yeah and the new league year hasn't even lasted a day. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Phoenix...I tend to be on the same page as you more often then not. But you can't honestly think adding Lance Dunbar and Larsen when we have $60M to spend is the best course of action. I think very few people want us spending crazy this offseason, but we absolutely should have been in the market for 1 or 2 players that could make an impact
