Lol so much butt hurt, so many rustled jimmies. The same people b***hing about not signing somebody would be whining about overpaying. These deals today have been stupid. The only one I would have been okay with was the Brandon brooks contract. Other than that you are paying top five money for a scrub that doesn't significantly improve our roster.

Baalke is going to sign people chill out. They will be second tier guys on manageable contracts. He will trade kap for multiple picks and we will build through the draft. He does this every year, so stfu you knew this was coming, and if not you haven't been paying attention. Shame on you.

Terrible post.

Seconded. Who complains about money that isn't ours, which we have an abundance of, being spent to shore up a bottom 3 roster and a GM that can't draft for s**t.

People mistake being frugality and intelligent use of money to not spending it at All. 90% of the deals today aren't worth it and aren't justifiable. There are still plenty of players who can improve this team that would be far cheaper. Allows I'm saying, let's wait and see because baalke has had a track record of grabbing some quality players on mangable deals day 2, 3 and so on. Outside of last year of course.

You all just want immediate satisfaction, when in reality These day 1 deals don't work out great often, and are albatrosses for the future. Let's wait and see who we grab. As I said, free agency isn't a one day event.

this. Free agency doesn't end today. There are people left to sign. Alfred Morris is a good one, Sean Smith isnt signed yet. Most of these day 1 deals bite GMs in the ass. Most of these guys will end up getting cut or restructuring their contract.

0 Pro Bowl appearances combined among the 4 highest paid FA's this year.

If we don't sign Sean Smith people are going to go full-blown apes**t.

"OMG HE SUCKS WHY DID WE SIGN HIM OUR FO IS TEH JOKE!!!!"

Devey and Larsen are depth. Simmer down.

I don't even want them for depth.

You know how some women are teetering between normal and crazy but have that one crazy friend who gives them advice that makes them think the crazy ideas are the rational ones? That's what it's like reading these dudes' posts consecutively.

This place has had the Annual Day 1 of Free Agency Freak Out back before I even posted here and was just lurking.

This is just par for the course every year.

It's almost as predictable as the Annual Love Affair with Preseason Scrub Who'll Inevitably be Cut.

Not sure which is worse: going berserk over camp bodies like Glenn Winston, Kory Sheets, Nate Davis and Lavelle Hawkins or losing it because we didn't give Olivier Vernon $85 M.

Gabbert should get some life insurance. Kap is like f**k this s**t get me the f**k out of here. Don't blame him either because what ever QB is playing gonna get murdered.

this. 49ers shoulda atleast atleast walked away with 2 All Pros along the Oline. Instead its Baalk'e draft picks turnstiles M Martin and B Thomas get bull rushed and the QBS KILLED

This organization is a joke, dont even know why I waste my time.

What else is there to do in march?

At least the Giants are around the corner and it's an even year!

Me either. Hopefully they'll get outplayed in camp.

It's just an example lol

He also said it makes no sense not to use your cap space.

Last I heard on Sean Smith, the 49ers were the big players. But it's been hours.

Yep. Giants spent $193 M on 3 guys who have 1 Pro Bowl appearance between them (Janoris Jenkins was an alternate one year, if that even counts).
This is the weakest FA crop in years, and teams are still overpaying these awful FAs top dollar. We are smart to be avoiding this train wreck and saving cap room for the future when we finally need to be able to sign that missing piece to put us over the top. How are people not getting this lol.

What if you wait to use it on players that you feel are worth it?

LMAO you're assuming Baalke isn't on the phone trying to sign these "weak" FA crop. He's just failing hard. Keep assuming though, you know the old saying.
