Let's bring in the Schwartz brothers! They'd love to play on the same squad back at home

His only issue, is that he has been injured a few times, though the last one was an ankle
He should be good to go in '16
A team looking for a new right side would have to consider the Schwartz brother combo
Their both very smart and conduct themselves like leaders, both skilled a capable
As noted, both Cali/pac12 guys, and we have Geoff's OL coach
He should be good to go in '16

Depending on what Davis does I'd be fine with bringing in both

I don't trust Davis at all and I don't know how the team can either. If he quit heading into last year what's to stop him from quitting next offseason or even midway through the season?
He obviously cares only about himself.

ehhh I don't blame the dude for taking a year off if his head was all messed up...I'd rather have a healthy Davis they have him strolling out there with concussion issues.
He's the one that has to deal with the all the long-term issues not us and if he can play solid for the next 5 years because he was able to let his brain get healthy who are we to judge?
My main issue was the timing of the "retirement" he should have told the FO as soon as the season was done...I hope if he's coming back he let's the team know sooner than later until then I guess we have to look at it as he's not on the team.

Thought I read somewhere that he thinks playing along side his brother wouldn't be a good idea. Think it was from an article on roto. I'm too lazy to look up the link.

Hmmm never read that? I know extension talks with Schwartz in Cleveland haven't gone well and there was a article about Geoff loving SF and wanting to playing here.
I hope we tackle OL hard in FA and focus on defense in the draft.

If you need a QB, that trumps all.
I believe the 49ers need a quarterback. It doesn't matter what I think, however.

I they sign Geoff Schwartz and get anthonay davis back, the Niners do not need to use a high pick on OL. They can focus on the long laundry list of other needs.
