If the Niners drafted Goff, they could sign Mack & Schwartz to have 3 Cal bears on the offense.

Yeah, they'll probably be gone before April.

Well if he wants to come back to Cali, Oak already has their C.
So it's us or SD

Doesn't say anything about him wanting to go back to Cali....he wants to win he's not coming here.

Browns C Alex Mack hinted the opportunity to win will play a "really important" role in his decision whether or not to opt out of his contract this offseason.
Winning being an important factor is obviously not a good sign for Cleveland. After the Browns made the poor decision to place the transition tag on Mack instead of the franchise tag after the 2013 season, Mack negotiated a player-friendly offer sheet with the Jaguars which included a no-trade clause and a player option after two seasons. The Browns matched the contract to keep Mack that offseason, but they are all but certain to lose to the Pro Bowler this time around. Mack will be a hot commodity on the open market. I think he ends up with the Jags for good. Young offense that looks really good. Add Mack and draft defense early and they could end up in the playoffs next year

Who said he was going to the jags lol?
Mack signed a offer sheet with the jags two years ago that the Browns matched (he was never going to the jags) in that offer sheet they had a no-trade clause and player option which he plans on using this off season...jags just screwed the Browns and the Browns were too dumb to actually extend Mack an opted to give him the transition tag instead....now it's screwing them.
He wants to play for a winning team which isn't in SF at this point...money talks but he's got a ton of that already, I think he'd actually like to win in the NFL before he retires.

- NFL Pick 'em
If he is going to put winning before money, than we're going to be a tough sell. Our coaching staff could be gone after next year (if not before), we have a question mark at QB, and we're in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL.
He may be willing to take a discount to win, but how much of discount? It's easy to talk about the importance of winning when you're in middle of a horrible season, but looking at the reality of the numbers in the offseason might change his tune.

It depends. If Baalke really lays out his grand master plan, Pat Riley style, any free agent that wants to win could be sold on it. If we miss out on Mack, the good news is we still have Daniel Kilgore and can go after one of the top guards.

The Jags are going to be a sleeper team next season. It doesn't take much to win the AFC South. I don't know Wisnieski's contract situation, but I think they'll stick with him. Mack would be an upgrade though.
They have to fill some holes in their secondary and improve their pass rush. Fowler coming back next year will help a lot. If they can get more out of their pass rush, they'll compete for the division. They're going to score points and if they can patch up the defense, they'll start racking up the wins.

Nothing but have 3 Cal Bears on offense. I was just pointing out that possibility.
