Excited about smelter, not ponder or gabby. I'm saying smelter will be a non issue with kap at QB.

The only plays kap does well are broken scramble plays, in which it doesn't matter who the WR is at that point. Kap rarely hits WRs in stride or throwing a WR open giving the WR to gain YAC.

No surprise we have two receivers in the top 24 of drop rates under Kaepernick. Three in the top 48.
Hopefully Smelter's big ass mits can get up fast enough to catch these fast balls.

Not sure he's going to be a factor regardless. If he knew how to run routes in this offense or be healthy he'd have been on the field by now.

Just effing throw him and give him some targets... throw it up jump balls, screens, whatever he does we'll. See if he's a gamer especially against most likely a weak CB if we're in a 4-5 WR set.

One target, one catch for 23 yards...kind of hard to do better unless targeted more. By comparison, Burbage had 2 targets, one catch for 24 yards. I like both but want real competition next TC.

I think we need to approach our WR situation as if we have nothing there, which wouldn't be far from the truth. Unless a player has proven production, don't assume they will produce. I also want to bring back Ellington, Smelter, Streater, and Kerley. But they all should have to compete for their jobs.
