Bonafied Sherman killer for the win!! Sounds like it's different than what we usually allow our wide-outs to do, but it'd be great to allow him this type of freedom in our O

lol what the hell does this even mean?

It means he can play in the slot as well as outside.

?...CJ Spiller, EJ Manuel, and they just drafted Watkins. And they picked up Anthony Dixon who may or may not pick up an occasional 3rd & 1 for them.

those players are not on stevie johnson's caliber, and watkins is unproven.

he is talking about the last FOUR years but i do only see three...interesting.
2013 was with a hodgepodge of QB play. Not a good measuring stick of his ability.

He is still young enough that he should not have lost any speed. Should have 3-4 solid years ahead.

I liked him in FA but his price was too high. Now we get him for less.
Put Crabtree, Boldin, Davis and Johnson out there with Kap and Gore, ask a D coordinator how they plan on covering these guys and I think that suddenly the need for a straight up burner drops considerably. I would still like one with return ability on the team but I don't think it is what is really holding our O back. The O will go as far as Kap can, he has to be able to hit these targets consistently.

Its a horrible trade for them. They bolster their offense, then go and let one of the biggest pieces to that puzzle go for peanuts.

we will destroy most teams this year, i only expect games within our division to be close.
Love IT!!! Great Move Baalke. I like Stevie Johnson. Proven Talent and will be on a SOLID Roster. What do the 49ers give up?
Wow, Baalke does it again. SB 49 is ours, as it should be.

conditional 4th. becomes a 3rd based on production.

Bills confuse the crap out of me. Trade Lynch, draft Spiller. Draft Watkins, trade Johnson. Pure potato, one step back, one step forward stuff.

Conditional 4th next year, can become a 3rd
remember when our starting WRs for Week 1 last season were Boldin and Williams?
I love the pick but what's his contract like?
Boldin and Stevie Johnson acquired for a 6th and 4th (conditional 3rd). That is what a good GM does, patience pays off, as does salary cap flexibility. These types of trades, as well as our draft capital are a testament to our entire FO.
