I'm good with going into the draft and getting a CB (verrett/fuller, trade up a tad) and a WR (matthews, beckham, trade up from 56) over signing someone like Bennett for a year or two. At a certain point all these 1 year deals hinder our young guys and don't let us continue to build for the future.

This.

Didn't he just sign an extension? What is the cap hit if traded?

I have my doubts, but this could work.

Jackson, just two years into a five-year, $51 million extension, is slated to make $10.25 million in base salary in 2014. The Eagles would take a dead-money cap hit of $6 million this year if they dealt Jackson, but wouldn't owe him the $30 million in base salary over the next three seasons that he's signed to collect.
Were not getting him, watch the dumb ass pats get him

Don't we only have a little over $3M in cap room for this year?
They want at least a 3rd!? I'll do that in a heart beat
Getting desean jackson would be cool on paper... but something tells me it wouldn't work. Though we would have lots of room to do whatever we want in the draft
Do we have the cap room?????

LMJ and a 4th...but do we have the $$$
In June the Rogers savings kick in which will take it to about 9mil but you still got to sign all those picks.

Better to package some of those up for next year an avoid having to have a bunch of guys you don't need and not worth keeping around.

Trade 3rd and 5th tops for Desean and hope that a few restructure.
WR and Return positions solved.

would've been perfect if the Eagles didn't land Sproles already

Not even close. After the Rogers cut is accounted, then yes, but that won't be for awhile. Even then you still need about 3-4 mil for all your draft picks.
If miraculously we get Jackson it definitely means were going 3 wrs sets a lot, were not gonna keep a wr who has a base salary of 10 mil only doing returns and against a team like the Seahawks his speed will come in handy. Damn a trio of crabs, boldin and Jackson would be sick
