This is my worry 59 Jonathan Goodwin 34 years old
G 6'3" 318 12/2/1978 10 years experience
Goodwin is a pro bowl center and it shows.
Came in and lockdown that positon
Ben is the
59 rank player 2012 draft
49ers would be drafting 60th 2nd round in this years draft
Insurance at the center while doing his time at gaurd
Ben Jones, C, Georgia
(6-3, 316)
would be a good fit in a power-run scheme
pass protection needs work
how would you fix the void at RG
with Snyder signing in Arizona and Rachel
wiht out a contract for 2012?

Since this is the free agency forum, I'll say we fix RG with a short-term bridge to Kilgore like Kyle Kosier or Chris Kemoeatu. Then we should further address OL depth in the later rounds of the draft.

I haven't seen enough of Kilgore to even guess what we have / may have there. But I have seen Kosier plenty, and never been all that impressed. I've always liked Kemoeatu and wanted us to make a move for him a couple of years ago. But the last two years, he's been really bad. Had some injuries, lost his starting job, and even when he's been in the lineup he just hasn't played well.

Guys like Kosier (who has T Rex arms) and Kemo (and even Hutch) all seem to be regressing and just getting by on smarts.

Well, in the movie Kevin Costner was an ex-college football player. I think he was a WR though.

We may not have to.
I think most would agree that JH is a pretty good coach and knows what he's doing.
I didn't sense any panic or see any hasty decisions in getting a RG in FA. Maybe JH is confident enough in Kilgore not to be sweating it like many in the Zone are.
If he's confident - so am I.
Still, I feel we'll get one in the draft and you never know who will be available when teams have to make roster cuts.

Looney, Kilgore and Boone will compete for RG, may the best man win
