I wouldn't mind getting him @ 3 for 13 and then using our 1st to grab another WR..Although he most likely wouldn't be a #1 for us I think at this point it would just be nice to get Alex Smith weapons period and let him spread the ball around..just like it is in NO and GB..I know Smith's no Rodgers or Brees, but I think the more receivers the better..

He's not a better receiver than Crabtree or Morgan, he'd be a waste of money as our #3.

That article was a good find though, I'd personally like the 49ers to trade a late pick for Louis Murphy like they suggest the Jets do. Murphy plus a second or third round developmental guy would be perfect.

And meachem is no Jennings Nelson Colston.....so given Alex is not as good as Aaron or Bree's, Alex also has no wr to help him even close to Jennings Nelson and Colston. Alex could be about 80% as good as those qbs if he actually had their weapons. We need weapons besides vd, not second and third wrs

The post mentioned Meacham's questionable commitment. If that's true he won't be a 49ers. Baalke and Harbaugh will only take players that THEY KNOW love to play football.

Prediction: 49ers on a three-year, $13 million contract.

LOL at him not being better than Crabtree or Morgan.

Meachem makes the most sense for us... and that cheap price is very optimistic but very palatable.

Add Meachem and draft Fleener... then, you'll see offensive fireworks!
