An AFC West executive was quoted as saying he's heard there is as many as 8 teams in play for Jackson, but believes he'll be tagged, even at $13.7M. Think about the fans are already pissed off that Turner & Smith were not fired, there is a lot of pressure to win this year, I don't think losing your best WR on top of the other loses they'll take on is conducive toward that.

Smith said the final decision would be made Monday, "but I can tell you right out front, it's highly unlikely, and every time I look at that situation, I don't like it, I still don't like it, but we'll see. We'll see where that goes."

I can see us making a play for him and some are saying that this will be a softer WR market because of all the quality players as UFAs even for Jackson and especially for Colston.
We have a strong opportunity when he hits the market. It's whether Baalke thinks he's worth that $$$$ contract. I hope so and then Paarag can work his magic.

pretty excited to see if we make a run an Jackson or Colston. After getting Brooks re-signed for 2012 cap # of $2.5M we will definitely have the cash to make a run for either of them.

Chargers decided not to franchise Vincent Jackson. Would be cap prohibitive right now. Still hope to sign him #insideslant

I think it'll end up being Vincent Jackson. Or we'll get Wallace and draft a redzone-type WR in the mid rounds.

V. Jackson to the Niners makes a lot of sense. He doesn't have to move.
