i'm sure he has "enough" money, but its not like he's Peyton Manning and can have a second career in commercials and/or just selling his autograph when he's done. Let's remember that he's David Garrard. He's a completely mediocre quarterback. Sitting out a year would make absolutely zero sense for him. Why would he pass up an entire year of making money? And then next year teams would be like, "Oh, David Garrard? Who the f**k is that? I don't remember, because he's a completely forgettable player, and now he hasn't played in a year. What has he been doing all that time? No, I won't waste my time bringing him into training camp."

He would be fresh and be able to learn a new system the entire off-season. I'm sure teams are keeping a tab on him right now, I still say the Bengals are the front runners

My guess that the new one added is the Colts. After that Texans game, maybe Polian realized Collins isn't the same QB he drafted! I really don't think Collins has any desire to play a full 16 game schedule either.

Don't know if it has already been mentioned but anyone think Ginn's $1 mil restructure has anything to do with Gerrard?

no. It has everything to do with not being involved in the passing game and if he wanted to stay on the team. IMO

No it had more to do with York's trying to save a buck so they can pay the HC 5 million a year.

Well he saved a mill with Ginn and 500k with Norris. He also saved almost a mill by cutting McCown. That's about half the coach's salary right there.
