Val is he good? I dont know much about him ... How does he compare to Baas

coming off a pro bowl year

This is all the reason we won't get him.

coming off a pro bowl year, just glancing at his stats seems durable only missed 9 games in 10 years. Probably a solid stop gap for our rookie Cs we drafted

Ok .... Sign this guy .... We need a solid stop gap Center ... gives Beeler(Spelling?) a chance to adjust to the speed of the game

Time for some Hammer:

Order of events to come:

1) meets 49ers

2) leaves

3) signs 1-year deal with any other team

To be honest, this is the guy I wanted. More than Olin Kreutz.

Why didnt the Saints re-sign this guy?
This on the heals of the fabulous and unbiased sf49ers.com piece, "Snyder doing well"
NFL Free Agents just treat the niners like a timeshare vacation. Free trip to SF, all you gotta do is listen to these morons for about an hour.

Seriously a free trip, cool weather for the most part, good food, and you could just eat while baalke babbles for an hour. Say thanks for the trip and go sign a one-year deal somewhere else.
Oh gosh yes, we are SO "in the mix" on this one guys. We are just as "seriously interested" in signing him as we are all the other would-be starters we've contacted or been "interested" in...

I would applaud the signing if it happened, it would be good to actually have an experience center anchoring our young line. But I will remain as skeptical as ever until I hear we've OFFICIALLY signed him.

With the 49ers, we can't even get players we supposedly had in the bag (Franklin), because they are jumping at the chance to be ANYWHERE else. And with what this FO has shown thus far, how can anyone even blame them? We're a laughing stock around the league even before the season has started. We have yet to play even a pre-season game and all the analysts and players around the league see us as a total joke.

I'm sick of it.

He's highly successful in a complex offense. Would be a good signing IF- IF.
