Thats all we know then lol
Well so far it smells of BS. Franklin had a visit but no physical or deal was made. The red flag was when the alleged source claimed Baalke wanted to give Franklin a physical before signing (which is standard procedure) so he could hit the ground running and start practice right away on Tuesday. Um, newly signed free agents can't practice till Thursday when the new league year is set to begin.

What a winded web we weave...

FO is almost done settling Franklin's new contract, it's going to be in the range of 4yrs/20 Million (full of incentive bonuses that could reach 25-30 million, similar, but not adjacent to the Cullen Jenkins deal). -But Baalke isn't going to let him sign until he passes his physical, which is planned either this evening (Pacific time) or tomorrow at Stanford University, so Franklin can hit the ground running at afternoon practices tomorrow.

This potential contract also preludes the possible end of Dashon Goldson coming back (which explains the Williams signing today), source tells me we're playing EXTREME HARD BALL with him.

Goldson is asking for f**king Eric Weddle type money (4-5yr $40 Million contract), but neither the Raiders, 49ers, Cowboys, or Redskins (yes, they're a mystery team playing in the shadows) are willing to cough that much dough up.

Source believes the 49ers feel Goldson is probably gonna back down (in the end) and re-sign, within range of a 3-4 year/25-30 Million contract (including incentives). -Goldson really wants to stay a 49er, and also wants to stay in the Bay.

yeah, im not buying this crap anymore. Vets cant practice until Aug 4 so how the hell is Franklin gonna hit the ground running if we sign him?
Any word? Did they offer him a contract?

I can't see him signing somewhere else for more $. The money is shrinking every week. Word on TV is that if you don't sign to a team this week, then you're not going to get much $

Guys... SnakePlissken is a good guy, I doubt he made it up. He may have gotten bad information, but that's no reason to call for a ban.

Many people have been wrong... including the national sports media.

Give the man a break.
