This came up in my previous thread with canadian49er, why aren't we looking into Whitner? He's a ballhawk and would be killer in our secondary, not to mention still young...opinions?

But Mays can play FS, he did in college, and he certainly has the range to play there.

I don't question Mays' athletic ability. I question his instincts to be a ballhawk though, which is the type of guy you look for at FS. Plus as a poster said previously, he lacks loose hips which hurt him in coverage. He is more of a straight-line athlete best served going downhill.
