BTW... if the Bengals can attract someone like Clements... the Niners certainly can attract some CBs.

John Clayton: The 49ers have a hole at the CB position now that Nate Clements signed with Cincy. They had been talking to him about coming back.

Why did we cut him before we signed a replacement? The 49ers FO is doing everything backwards.

They must have known there was a chance Clements wouldn't want to come back after being cut.
