St. Joseph, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Chiefs signed veteran defensive tackle Kelly Gregg, who spent the past 10 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

The Chiefs announced the deal Saturday, a day after free agency opened, but didn't disclose terms of the deal.

Gregg, who also spent two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, found a starting role in Baltimore and has posted 509 tackles and 19.5 sacks in 137 career games.

The 34-year-old started all 16 games last season for the Ravens, making 38 tackles.

This is interesting because they were rumored to be going after Aubrayo Franklin. After signing Gregg.. does this mean they've dropped out of contention for signing Franklin? Not that it matters -- we clearly are not signing him back since we've declared Sopo will be the new NT in San Fran.
