Well, no way the Jets get him now, because they signed Plax.

I think that leaves us, the cowgirls, and teams like Minny and Arizona..

i guess it really wont matter cuz this team wont spend real money to get quality players anyways.............or the free agent choose themselfs to go elsewhere

I think its not that we won't pay good money, its just that players know they would rather play for teams like the Jets and Eagles than us. But then again, who wouldn't want to play for them? We have rep as a losing team, why are people surprised about that? We have to earn respect from around the league in order to attract big name FAs.

Why are people so surprised? Its not as if were some great team that no one wants to play for..

These are not even big name FA's anymore. We are getting overlooked by average FA's.
what is going on with Floyd? Still no news?
So far, I've heard about 4 teams that have at least "mild interest" in WR Malcom Floyd. Those teams are: Cardinals, 49ers, Ravens, and Vikings.

If he signs with the Cards I'll puke.

At this point...since it's obvious we wont be signing anyone of any significance.....I'm just hoping teams in our division don't get any better than they are.

if the Cards are serious about Edwards then i don't see them in the running. I really hope we can grab Floyd away from Minny or Baltimore.

Once again this teams fate is ultimately tied to that of Alex Smith. Honestly....if Smith plays like s**t this year...we're a 3-13 team. If he plays really well....then we have a shot. No in betweens. The only "in between" would be similar to 2006 when we had an OK offense (Smith did OK and Gore had a great season) and we ended up 7-9. In 06, if we had a better defense and slightly better coaching we would have made the play offs.

But, in all honesty, I think this will be a total boom or bust season. And if history is any indication...

Vikings may be out since they signed Michael Jenkins - former WR of the Falcons. If the Cardinals sign Edwards, then it's the Ravens, 49ers, and maybe the Chargers.

"Hmm...who do I trust to get me the ball...Smith or Flaaco?"

It's a shame but that's probably what these guys think. I just hope they have faith that Harbaugh will utilize them. I could see if they were reluctant to come here because we have a defensive minded HC but at least now we have an offensive mind in there..

(This is me being optimistic).
