Justin Smith and Sopoaga at DT
Aldon Smith and McDonald at DE
Willis at ILB
Lawson and maybe aldon if he isnt at DE and we use either RJF or Sopoaga at DE, this would be depended on Ian Williams playing the other DT spot.
I really think we will have something special in I.Williams. He has tons of talent. He is a DT/NT, he played NT in Notre Dame's 3-4 D, and was good till he got injured. I had him in the 3rd-4th rd area, then fell due to injury.

I haven't found anybody saying anything nice in at least a year. I don't think "webzone overrating" is a problem.

You have to admit, the idea of playing A Smith, Willis, Bowman, and Lawson at the same time is pretty exciting. That would easily be the fastest group of LBs in the NFL.
I know, speed isn't the only important thing for LBs. But it would be fun to watch.

this. lawson is a very good player. he may not have gotten many sacks but he sets the edge very well, defends on passing plays very well and he is pretty disruptive. i think hes worth way more to us than harelsons sorry ass

Definitely agree on the last statement but the thing is Manny wasn't going to get a big payout because he is an average player on a losing team. As the second tier free agent signings happen he may get some action but he may want to go to a 4-3 team where he fits better imo.

I'm not going to pretend to be a football expert I'm far from it ... but don't you think part of the problem Lawson had getting to the quarterback was scheming. The niners seemed committed to stopping the run last year. The analysts they had on CSNBAYAREA said he was really good at playing the run but disappointing at getting after the QB.
But don't you think alot of that was Singletary and Manusky's scheme ?
