Beerows: Niners on Herzlich's Short List
Link
I'd love to get this guy. He could be good this year, and become great in a couple more years of recovery, not to mention his leadership. How do you not listen to a guy who kicked cancer in the nads?

If he's recovered, I'd want us to be all over that.
Guy is a workhorse... Justin Smith with Herzlich next to him would wear out one side of the offensive, if nothing else. Heh.

This would be a bad ass pickup. They better give him a call as soon as they can.

I like the linebacker a lot, but I only see him as someone to challenge Mckillop for a roster spot...assuming Spikes resigns with the team.

He would probably play 3-4 OLB. He rushes on the outside, sets the edge vs the run, and has the size.

At the very least, if Aldon Smith turns out to be a beast, the QB would have a tough time escaping the pocket to the other side. Herzlich doesn't stop working before the whistle.

Very true! He could turn out to be that really good "other OLB" if/when we lose Lawson. I think they actually have a similar skillset... Lawson and Herzlich... neither are pass rush beasts, I don't think.
