Terrell Owens is going to sign with the....

WE have braylon edwards back soon. That should be more than enough firepower. Crabtree is continuing to improve. Edwards is a proven commodity who can put up the type of numbers TO can, and maybe fora few more years..........however there is this nostalgic part of me that would love to see TO come back to SanFransisco and win a SB. That being said I'd rather Jeff Garcia had a ring. So whatever. We are fine at the wideout position and have no need to bring TO in. Those that say it is more trouble than it is worth. Now if we lost someone else for the season???? THen get on that phone.

And also consider this: Owens will not sign for a team to be the #3. Im a HELL NO to Owens anyways.
Have always said "no thanks"... but I tell ya, it's tempting.

I thought we were a fringe playoff team at best... but we may be more than that. So I ask myself... if motivated and with his mind right... could Owens help push us to ring #6? Imagine defenses trying to cover Braylon, Crabtree, Owens, VD, and still contending with our run game.

I mean... is Delanie Walker > Terrell Owens ??? I think not, and it's not a close call by any stretch of the imagination.

- So is Harbaugh strong enough to keep Owens in line?
- Are Crabtree, VD, and Edwards tolerant enough... and wise enough to appreciate the big picture... in accepting Owens here?
- Will Owens accept and understand that most passes won't be going his way... that he is just a smaller piece to the puzzle?
- Will Harbaugh and Fangio want to alter their O-schemes to accommodate?
- Does Owens still possess the talents that he once did?

If these 5 questions come back with YES answers... and Owens' contract demands are reasonable... heck, why not? Bring him on!
Maybe Rosenhaus sends a recent video clip of him to us, lol
We were obviously interested in bringing in another WR(Lloyd) So I say yes to T.O

Maybe he would be willing to be on the bench unless an injury happens. He will have to learn the offense anyway, and he is coming back from an injury, so this will let him start slow. He probably misses the game, and would just like to be around it. It isn't like other teams would let him be a starting WR for them either - this is the middle of the season not training camp.

Personally I would love to see TO back with the 49ers, but I don't think it is worth the risk. JH has the 49ers running smoothly, functioning as a tight-knit group. Maybe TO wouldn't interfere with things at all, but why take the risk? You swing for the fences when you are down, not when you are in the lead.
If I were GM I would bring him in, but that is mostly sentimental. I don't imagine Harbaugh/Baalke will think he is worth bringing in even if healthy.

Personally, I think he would be a nice fill in for Morgan, is a good blocker, and would probably take over the starting spot from Crabtree which would be good for this year, but set Crabtree back - and that might be spoil him permanently.
Great talent(formerly), team wrecker no matter where he goes . Unh , unh. We got everything rolling in the right direction now, why get a foul ball like TO in here to screw it up again. I don't think Harbaugh would offer him a job if we had no WRs. TO destroyed us once, with dissention, why give him another shot at it? NO team he has played for before wants any part of him. That says it all.

Don't know why people make this assumption, maybe because they heard it from somebody else and are just perpetuating.

For a player who obviously wants to come back to the NFL and is obviously a long shot to do so, I think Owens would be more than happy getting signed as a number 3 wide receiver. The other thing I will say is the man can block. Does he help this team though? I don't know, he'd help at receiver but he's a risk to the chemistry this team already has.

But saying he wouldn't sign as a number three, with no other means to back this statement up, is just unintelligent.

I don't believe the Lloyd rumors one bit.

Think Baalke and Marathe wouldn't have a contract structured into a no-risk?

"You're saying all of the right things here, Terrell. So tell you what... welcome aboard and we'll even pay you well. Now that said... you see this part in your contract? Stay in line or the very first thing that causes tension? We reserve the right to boot you out the door. Don't like that arrangement? Take a walk."

Just so long as we cover our bases on where his mind is at and stays? And make sure the players are on board?

It's something to think about...

He's gonna be a Raider.

ironing is for women.
Why?

We have guys in the locker room that are buying into the coach's passion and motivation... TO has never done that. How many highlights are there of him standing outside of huddle when teams are rallying before and after practices getting all psyched up and he is just in his "whatever" mode. This is a young team with a fragile dynamic, and there is no need to risk the long term potential of this team and locker room for the short term benefits TO could provide.

All these thoughts about adding receivers like TO or Lloyd or whoever else comes up over the season is fun to think about, but when planning for the future of this team there is no need to introduce these types of personalities into a locker room due to the very legit risk it will infect other players and cause division amongst the team.
