Maybe for the return game.

Bush and Dixon are completely different running backs. I dont even think Bush would be useful to us, Hunter and Gore are both good receivers out of the back field, and Hunter has Reggie Bush-like quickness.

I think Bush would be a waste of money, Id rather spend our money at a position we really need

Bush would be our best receiver on the field. With having the mismatch weapons of VD and lesser extent Walker, Bush could shift out to the slot or outside and crucify whatever safety or LB that trailed him.

Certainly just opinion, but a backfield of Bush and Gore would own. Move Bush all around and watch what the D does. It forces opponents to get out of their base D. If they do that, Gore will run wild... if they stay in base? Then VD, Bush, and others will have remarkable mismatches to exploit in the pass game.

couldnt have said it better

You guys are trippin'. I'm with the Zone on this one. We don't need Reggie Bush. We don't need anybody. The guys we have now have proven to be winners and perennial playoff contestants.

Oh wait..

Did not want him then, and do not want him now.

New Orleans is going to the cut the player who was, according to some, redefine the position, if not the game.

There are better ways to spend the money.

I agree.

I believe Bush is miscast as a running back. He has proven to be too small to absorb the punishment. He is getting beat up and will soon lose much of that allusiveness. Moving him out to the slot would prolong his career and drive quite a few DCs to staying up very late at night game planning for him.

Still, he isn't worth what he is asking, or even close to it. I wouldn't pay him more than $7-8million.
I had not been paying attention to what he is (or might be) asking for. Price is an issue, so it depends on how much, of course.

I think he can get some RB carries as well. Whether he starts off in the slot and shifts to the backfield or vice versa... he's a threat that must be game-planned for. His presence can really give Gore that extra room to work... and maybe Reggie will come to the WC at a discount, who knows?
I, for one, would absolutely love for these two to reunite. As a Niner fan, NOTHING would make me happier than if these two reunited in Oakland. Or Seattle. Or maybe Arizona. How about Cleveland? Jacksonville would be a nice spot.

I for one wouldn't want Reggie and Alex on Seattle or Arizona

I wouldn't want to face Reggie Bush twice a year, either. As for Alex, unless he becomes a good QB out of nowhere, it would probably be beneficial to get to face him twice a year. Just put a little pressure on him and he'll fumble the game away for them.
wont happen
In my opinion I think with gore and new addition hunter, if they would sign bush he would end up being just a bit more productive than Westbrook was last year...in other words, no thanks
A good player but injured a lot.
